Bought this for a 2016 Malibu i bought used and looked like it still had the stock air filter installed
This filter has more surface area than the stock filter and also cost about the same as a OEM replacement, the fact that its washable is a huge bonus since it seems none of my local auto parts stores carry the correct filter for my application

Installed on my 2019 Chevy Malibu Premier 2.0 L Turbo. Easy installation fit well. You hear the turbo whistle more when the windows are down. My car was getting 8.1- 8.0 liters per 100kms on the hwy with average driving . Now since install and cleaned my MAF sensor the car is getting 6.9 – 7-3 liters per 100 with cruise control on about 100 km trip. I’m sure it will do better if the trip was longer. Satisfied with purchase.

Good replacement filter for my car. I was expecting a little bit more sound coming from the intake with this filter, but it is barely noticeable. For the moment it will do the job. Won’t have a choice to spend couple more buck and get myself the real deal: The AEM 21-813C cold air intake system.

I have an ‘oiled’ version in my other car with about 125k miles on it… have to clean it every once in a while… This DRY version should rarely need to be cleaned and never oiled… which protects the sensors. I’ve been very pleased with the oiled version and can’t imagine not being happy with this one. Interestingly, I installed this dry version about the same time fuel blends change for the winter months (NE US) where the mileage drops 10+% and we run the cars to warm them before heading out…so will have to wait til next summer to really compare. What was REALLY interesting is (what I believe to be ) the original OEM filter was actually partially blocked off by a boss/detail of the air box allowing only about 1/3 of area to be used, evidenced by the dirt in that section and NOTHING in the other 2/3! The new filter is not as thick so air easily gets to the entire surface. this will/should help improve efficiency and acceleration (WOT) and higher RPM operation, but the MPG’s haven’t proved this yet. I am looking forward to years and many miles of service of this filter!

I noticed that this air filter not only is washable, but I have also been Kinley aware that it seems to have more horsepower and pick up since installing this product, compared to the OEM.
This is almost like the K and N line, but it is also very good quality made. No need to spray oil on it, I keep it dry anyways, and wash it once every 2 to 3 months. I’ve also noticed that the gas mileage has increased about 2 to 3 miles per gallon on four-cylinder. Maybe it’s just because of me and My driving but I have noticed a difference. Wife is also noticed that the Chevy has a better pick up.
I highly recommend this product. No problems. Switched it in and out within five minutes. Very quick and easy. Came on time, packaged well, exactly what I needed.

Filter seems well made and fit perfectly. Hardest part to change on my XT4 was getting to all the screws on the air box. Have used K&N air filters on other vehicles but was concerned about an oiled filter with sensors looking for a reason to flag the Diagnostic Center.
