Looks like good quality

Easy shopping.
B.H. –
I read through the reviews and took everyones advice to order a size larger. I bought a Universal size and the XXL. I wanted one for myself (5’11” 188 lbs.) and one for my 10yr old son. We would wear these over chest waders and other layers, so I figured bigger was better as well.
THE GOOD:
– Decent floatation and overall construction.
– Avg durability for a nylon material
– The outside pockets are a nice for holding calls, extra shells, granola bar, etc. This was a big selling factor for me considering you wear this on the outside of your coat. Nothing worse than fumbling for extra shells when a cripple is trying to swim away. So the pockets looked like a nice feature.
– Price was middle of the road compared to others. Good value for the features I was looking for (camo, outside pockets)
NOT SO GREAT:
– The camo is a bit muted, like it was sun faded. Not a big deal, but odd. It’s not as high contrast as the photos would imply. I won’t leave these outside, but wondered how they would hold up to UV light.
– There was no size difference between the Universal and the XXL. The life jacket is identical in dimensions and amount of floatation. The only difference between the two is the length of waist strap. The XXL had roughly 10 inch longer strap to ensure the waist belt could go around a bigger body and still clip.
– The adult universal fit my son, who is 10yrs old, just fine, which seemed odd.
– Floatation in the shoulder is a bit bulky and if using this in a hunting situation it stops the butt of the gun stock from sitting in the pocket of your shoulder. I could push it to the side and make it work, but only if mentally focused on it. In a real hunting situation, where things happen quickly, I felt I would be fighting it or just take the shot slightly off kilter (butt of the gun on my shoulder vs the pocket, or on top of the foam). Both not great options.
THE BAD:
– I bought these for $41 each. I kept the Universal one for my son because he’s too young to shoot, so the shoulder issue wasn’t a factor. I returned mine (unused, tags still on it, in original box) because I was worried it impacting my shooting. I promptly returned it, via the Amazon generated label with tracking. I was then refunded only $12. What the heck? They kept 70% of the item cost! I was given no explanation. I tried to contact Amazon and they funnel you through their interface to contact the vendor. I emailed them once and waited a few days. No response. Emailed them a second time a week later and no response. It’s been a few weeks now and nothing.
MY RECOMMENDATION:
– Avoid this company if there’s any chance you’ll want the option to return an item. Keeping 70% of the item cost when returning is highway robbery.
– Buy a life jacket with a mesh upper, where the floatation sits more around the mid section vs over the shoulders. The lower level floatation will still do the job safety wise, but allow for better functionality. That style life jacket is often a little more expensive ($60 ish). Had I known I would get screwed on a return, I would have just bought the mesh version to start with.
CLAUDIA M –
I purchased this for 10 yr old grandson who asked for fishing vest. I was really happy to see when it arrived there is built in life saver inside it as well! Makes me pleased in the event he fell in fast moving waters it may save him from a tragedy too! Great buy!
Lou Sansevero –
I found this to be high quality. However, it was very difficult for me to secure it properly as it was it large enough even when fully opened with the straps. If you are anything larger than an average adult, it will not fit.
Hopeful Seamstress –
The life jacket is made very nicely, good quality. However, the “universal” size does NOT fit a 6’0 200lb man. Returning only due to size issues.
Frederick A. Weller, Jr. –
I’m stocky and kinda barrel chested. This fits just fine. IDK about all the reviews saying it was too small. The straps adjust way, way out.
Use it on my kayak. Good range of motion. Handy pockets. Reall winner at this price point.

Fit my grandson perfectly
