My rabbits love this hay. They don’t waste near as much of this hay as they do my locally baled Timothy hay. I did not find the boxes this came in to be particularly useful, as my rabbits thought they were also meant to be chewed on. I ended up taking it out of the boxes and putting in the hay mangers I usually use for them.
Andy’s Organic Timothy Hay is always a great product, it is always dried, green and fresh, holding a lot of the nutrients.
The biggest complaint that I have is the cost. At the time of this review it is $90 for 9 pounds of hay, that is very expensive. There are some really great things about it though, it is shipped right to your door and it is great quality hay.
Overall, I would have to say that as much as I love it, the cost would prevent me from purchasing this in the future.

This is a wonderful idea for anyone with indoor creatures that need hay in their diet. I have two male guinea pigs and they eat hay like there is no tomorrow- they are also in the living room and so I am always looking for less messy ways to get them the hay they need. There are several boxes (although a bit messy) inside the big box. The boxes are fully stuffed and the hay quality is great. The hooks are easy to use and can work in almost any cage setting. You could also put these on the ground for the critters to eat out of. The problem with this is the cost. $90+ for this much hay, even organic, is too much. This would be a good deal if your critter goes through hay very slowly and you don’t have multiple critters. The way my boys go through hay, this would be at least twice what we spend for hay from other vendors. And to be honest, the boys don’t really seem to enjoy it. So, great product in theory, but way too expensive for what it is.

This hay is fresh and tightly packed. Because it’s so tightly packed in the individual boxes, it feels like you get a lot. It’s adorable seeing the animal stick their little faces in it and make holes. It doesn’t fall out too easily and it’s not as messy as loose hay. The cardboard surprisingly enough hasn’t been chewed and has held up beautifully. These can be hung, propped up, or laid down. The hay is fresh and the quality is superior. My animals have preferred this to the last brand of hay I tried from my local pet store. I would buy this again for its convenience and quality. It’s really long lasting and I haven’t needed to refill hay daily like I usually do.

My bun (Holland lop) approves, but my wallet doesn’t. I’ll start by saying I love that it’s packaged into smaller boxes. Perfect for storing without making a mess.
I tried having the boxes but my bunny just made a huge mess with the hay, so I ended up just sitting the box down flat. It worked a lot better for me that way.
Overall, if this was cheaper I would buy this regularly, however it’s just too pricey for me.

These are really cool because it’s all prepacked very full, nice and compact. I actually just take some of the hay and put it in my bunny feeder and there is so much left in the box after filling up their little trough. I am only on the first box but I think they should last a long time. It is pretty expensive so even though I really like them boxed like this, it is too pricey for me to buy regularly. I love this idea of the prepacked timothy hay and how clean it is unlike a big bale of hay and how it makes such a mess. I do think this is nice high quality hay and my rabbits love it! If money isn’t an issue for you then you should get these, so nice to have these handy little boxes ready to go without the mess and nice organic cuttings.

This hay is fresh, and green, and fragrant. My guinea pigs like it. The box feeders are easy and convenient, but my guinea pigs prefer a different style of feeder. The hay is a good length without much straw or dust. The price is the main let down, this is super expensive, even when compared to similar products from the same company.

Once the top layer of hay from each 1.5 lb box was pulled off, the rest of the box revealed thick layers of hay dust, so most of the weight is in hay dust for sure. This product is inedible for my Guinea pigs and harmful to their respiratory system. Hay smelled and looked OLD and MUSTY (sitting in packaging for years?). Definitely NOT fresh. And NO exp. date. Maybe the hay was edible and fresh years ago but not now. The color looked like an unwatered lawn during summer. I am so disappointed and disgusted with this product and the seller. No refunds either.

This hay is great for guinea pigs. It is fresh and green and long, not broken into lots of pieces. The boxes comes packed which is great, and they each have an opening, so you just put them in the cage and the piggy eats the hay and nibbles the box. Two for one!
