At first, I was very happy with this headset – the sound quality was good, they were comfortable, and I thought the value was very good for what I paid. However, after using these for about 2 months, the sound quality completely blew out. The bass in the headset has become extremely distorted, and voices/treble sound scratchy, and it is impossible to game with them anymore. I am very disappointed as this is a very short life for a headset, yet I am still not able to get any kind of return as too much time has elapsed since purchase. Based on my experience, I do NOT recommend purchase, find something with a longer life than a few months.

Seems to be good bang for your buck; just got them in tonight and. have been using for the past hour. Honestly I’m surprised at how comfortable they are and at the sound as well. They are not fully noise-cancelling (to be expected) but the quality of the sound is great. I haven’t used the mic feature yet and am having some trouble getting the input to work for it, so I may put this down to 4 stars if that persists. I got these since I work from home and it won’t be a huge deal if that feature ends up not being compatible with my desktop Mac, but definitely a little irritating atm. Overall I like what I paid for. EDIT: It took a lot of tinkering with plugging in and out and twisting in the ports to get my input mic to work. But it works and the quality of my recordings and calls are great! It is a little quiet, so I had to turn my dials all the way up but sounds great now.
Earrings that flip people off aren’t appropriate around other people’s kids. –
I don’t know why their are bad reviews. The way these are designed, they are super comfortable and get better with age, they are extremely durable, and built to be okay after the cords are inevitably yanked out of the socket. The sound quality is totally fine. The only two things, I would change, is I would like the cord to be something softer, because rubber or whatever cords are made of will yank your arm hair out if you rub it the wrong way, and also, I’d like the headset to have a black and silver or black and gold option. I mean, they don’t look bad, but they could have a much cooler appearance. Still, this headset is perfect for what it is, really. As long as they stay affordable, I’ll buy from this company the rest of my life.

My youngest destroys gaming equipment like a monster, so I tried to find something at the cheapest price point where headsets start to get decent ($70-$80), and tried these because I heard good things from a ton of folks. I did check them out in person to take a closer look at the ear padding and headband, and was pleasantly surprised. The construction was solid: sliding headband adjustment was tight with no set “click” points; the pivot points are solid and well constructed and don’t look like weak points at all; the fabric covering the ear padding is soft and well attached with no pleats or loose ends/threads; the memory foam is really decent quality, and doesn’t retain heat; and the 3.5mm jack cord seems somewhat heavier duty than average -it’s thicker, and resists kinking. The sound is exceptional for this price range -very well balanced with decent frequency range, and no tinny sounding treble. The only negative things I have to say about this headset is that the fabric over the memory foam is harder to clean than solid vinyl, but it’s so much more comfortable that it’s barely a drawback.
In this price range I’ve had an Xbox headset, two different Turtle Beach headsets and a Hyper X Stinger. All were far less comfortable over the ears, weren’t as adjustable or comfortable to wear, and didn’t have nearly as good quality sound (the Hyper X sound quality was total garbage in my opinion).

(Slight tldr pros and cons below) I’ve had the first gen since 2018 and when I saw the second gen I just had to get them and put old reliable in retirement. As of first getting the gen 2 and writing this review I have loved the 2 gen. Both comfortable and light as well as decent color selection but it’s easier if I do pros and cons
Pros
1. Super durable I have twisted them and put them to the test just like my first and still retained it’s shape and no signs of cracks anywhere
2. Comfortability I have worn these headsets for hours on in and I can say for sure it feels like I’m not even wearing them but still feel really secure to my head
3. Easy to clean (can’t say how easy since I have no need to clean them yet other than hair
4. Price I mean you can’t beat a good durable headset for 40-60$
5. Compatibility works great on my PC, Xbox and my switch but I hardly use headphones for the switch anyways
And now onto some cons
1. The headphone jack (atleast for gen 1) is like playing Russian roulette could work up to a year or break next month most notably the audio slider could have it all the way up and only one ear has audio slightly bring it down and both work (recommend getting spare cords Amazon does sell them)
2. Lack of options (more a personal attack) wish there were options for no mics or wireless since I use a different mic for talking
And lastly mixed opinion is the audio some say it’s best for single player. I play a lot of games that sound is key such as escape from Tarkov, day z and so on. I personally have not faced such an issue where this headset would struggle I could still pinpoint where gunfire and explosion happen no matter how chaotic with both gen 1 and 2
As of now this is all I can think of I’ll update as I go on but for now I recommend this headset with a just the acceptation of being prepared to buy spare audio cables for the headset.
Edit 5/1/24
Wow almost two years and the headset is still going strong i have put ALOT of abuse on the headset so what are my thoughts on it now ?
Well the audio slider has given out id say about 9 months in upon purchase but its minor being a small adjustment its working as intended, now onto the cleaning still just as easy just pull the ear muffs off and hand wash let it air dry and continue on. durability still on par as Gen 1 thanks to a nephew they can be thrown off the porch hitting objects such as cars and a tree and still work after plugging back in. Though have notice after some time it will hold what ever bend you put on it BUT it still will not crack or break so yea it was and still is worth every penny.

Boyfriend has been using these for the past year, great quality and the mic picks up sound very well.

Bought this headset as a Christmas gift for my husband. He has been using them everyday for almost a month now. They are very comfortable and don’t hurt his ears because the cushioning is enough and does not peel. I made sure to look for headsets that dont have that fake leather-ish fabric that peels. The sound is great. The only thing that is already mentioned in other comments is making sure you push the plug all the way into the headset. if you dont, it will sound like the headset is broken. Packaging and delivery were great! I highly recommend it!

I ended up returning them. They did not work for me, I could barely hear anything. They are very cute though.

Beautiful color! Make sure to plug in all the way with two clicks or the sound doesn’t come through properly #usererror
The headset is great, comfortable, decent soundproof-can hear if someone try’s to get attention and blocks other noises when focused on gaming. My husband and I recommend!

This headset isn’t terrible by any means, the sound quality and noise cancellation is excellent. the only downside is the microphone sound quality is very scratchy and does not sound very good to me. Yes for the price point it is decent, I believe there are much better microphones for the same price point if you are only looking to use it as a communication device.
Anderson Martinez –
if you don’t want to spend a lot money on headphones this a good option for ur gaming set up.

I was in the market for a new gaming headset but wired, since my current expensive wireless ones only lasted a few month before breaking. I am always careful with my things, so when they broke I was very suprised and disappointed in the quality.
When I saw the ASTRO A10 headset and how it’s made to be more durable, I had to try it. It’s only been a few weeks so far but these are some pros and cons I’ve noticed.
PROS:
-Durability and movement
-Good audio quality (could go a bit louder but that could just be my personal preference)
-Stylish and adjustable
-Inline audio control makes for quick and easy volume adjustments
CONS:
-Only 1 audio control. Would be nice to control game and chat separately.
-The foam ear covers are comfy, but on the smaller size.
Conclusion:
If you’re looking for a gaming headset that is sub $100 I would recommend these. If anything changes, I will update.

I recently purchased the Astro A10 Gaming Headset Gen 2, and while I was initially excited about this product, I’ve encountered a couple of issues that have led me to believe I may have received a defective unit.
Microphone Echo: One of the main problems I’ve experienced is an echoing effect through the microphone. This has been quite disruptive during gameplay, as my teammates have reported hearing their voices echoed back. I’ve tried troubleshooting this issue with no success, leading me to suspect it might be a hardware fault.
Cord Connectivity: Another concern has been the headset’s cord, which seems to have a loose connection. It frequently disconnects, causing sudden audio dropouts. This is particularly frustrating in the middle of a game or conversation. I’ve checked the connection points, but the issue persists, indicating a possible defect in the cord itself.
Overall Thoughts: Despite these issues, I believe the Astro A10 Gen 2 has the potential to be a great headset. The audio quality, when not interrupted by the cord issue, is quite good, and the design is comfortable for short periods. I’m hoping that my experience is not indicative of the overall quality of this product line and that I just happened to receive a lemon. I would appreciate the opportunity to test a replacement unit to see if these problems are resolved, as I’ve heard good things about Astro’s customer service and willingness to address such concerns. I am, of course, hoping to get an opportunity to. Change my review.
