The media could not be loaded.
I loved this from the moment I opened it.
It’s well made – very sturdy with no sharp or rough edges.
The keyboard is metal, which means it gives a lovely sound which I’ve tried to record in the video I’m uploading.
When I ordered this I did think the £14.99 price tag was a little steep, but now we’ve had a chance to play with it I’m quite happy with that as it should last for years.

This is a nice enough xylophone but there’s a couple of things I would have improved.
Firstly the presentation. It comes in a plain brown box, which is a bit disappointing if you are gifting it. Then the xylophone is wrapped in plastic inside. I don’t think there is any need for the plastic wrapping.
Secondly, the xylophone comes with 2 wooden sticks but there is nowhere to store these when you are not using it. It would be useful if there had been a couple of hooks underneath for them to slot into.
Whilst it’s a beautiful looking and sounding xylophone, I can’t help being slightly disappointed, especially given it’s £14.99 price tag. It’s just okay for me.

Drowning under boxes –
CeleMoon 8 Note Colourful Wooden Xylophone / Glockenspiel for Kids and Toddlers is well made and appears robust. All parts are made from non toxic and child safe materials. They are finished without any sharp corners or edges, with no potential for splinters and without any small loose parts.
The Xylophone / Glockenspiel is promoted as suitable for kids over 3 years old to learn music. However, like most things concerning young children, suitability will depend on the individual child. Younger children will derive pleasure from simple unstructured banging of the bars, which can later be converted into actual music making. Our 15 month old grandson loves the xylophone, as he loves anything that makes a noise when you bang it! His musically talented grandmother is anticipating great things for his musical future!
A couple of small observations. The bars have their note shown on them as a letter and are different colours. I assume that this is to assist the child to produce music before they can recognise letters. However, bars F and G are a very similar colour and, being next to each other, will probably confuse the budding percussionist. Secondly, having gone the trouble of identifying the bars in this way, it would have been useful if the toy had come with some music sheets of basic tunes ‘notated’ using the letters and colours.
Having said that, the CeleMoon 8 Note Colourful Wooden Xylophone / Glockenspiel is nice traditional toy that will provide hours of pleasure (at least for the child!). At current price of £14.99, it represents good value for money.

I hesitated to give this a full 5 stars, but you have to temper (NPI) your expectations at this price point.
The flaws: 1) Most of the bars read just a shade sharp. It’s probably close enough to use even in a recording situation, though, especially if you want it to sound kind of like a toy. 2) The timbre of the bars don’t all match. The F bar on mine is a little more metallic sounding than the others. 3) The paint job could be better. The G bar has a noticeable line of extra paint on one end. I suppose this could be to change its pitch, but I highly doubt it. 4) The handle of one of the mallets is not completely smoothly finished.
But these are minor issues in my opinion, and don’t really get in the way of the reliable functioning of this instrument. All of the bars ring well enough, and none of them are duds, or die right as they sound. The construction is solid, and under reasonable, nonviolent use, this glockenspiel should last a long time. I am still impressed with it at its toy-instrument price point.

I’m very pleased with this musical instrument (I would have called it a xylophone, but recently learned I’d be wrong, because of the way the keys are attached). The metal keys are well made and securely attached. The wood is solid, with rounded edges and nice wood grain. And best of all, the sound quality is really quite nice, much better than I’d normally expect for a kids toy. This feels like a real instrument, not some cheap toy. The two pieces you use to play it are also made of wood, and while the round ends seem securely attached as well, I would still keep an eye on these as they could pose a choking hazard to younger children if they came loose. Overall, this is a fantastic product at a very reasonable price that I would highly recommend getting for your Littles to explore sound and music with!

I got this xylophone with a daughter in mind who has a business of music therapy for autistic children. She came over the other day and when she saw it she knew it was probably for her. I told her she could have it if she could play Mary had a little lamb on it. She did so without any hesitation so now it is hers and will be put to good use in her business. She loves any percussion style instrument for her teaching. Sometimes I think the more noise the better. However this xylophone does make a good noise.

I received this product through the Amazon Vine programme and this review is based on my girlfriend’s opinions.
I got this for my 3 year old nephew to try as he seems to like trying musical instruments but doesn’t have a xylophone. The Celemoon arrived in a plain cardboard box with no set up required. The 8 notes are clear and musical and the mallets were easy to use although might have been better with rubber tips. The toy is well built and I only found that sometimes I need to move the notes a bit to help them ring more clearly. It is getting played every visit which is a good sign. £14.99 seems ok price wise for this xylophone although there are cheaper 8 note models on Amazon. Maybe Celemoon could direct new players to some on line resources like tunes/playing for their first xylophone.
