CORAL 100% Compostable Knives arrived packaged nicely and without damage. The knives are well made with quality materials and are very durable. They are comfortable to hold and cut very well for a disposable utensil. They are the size of a typical heavy duty plastic knife but have a unique look to them. I really like that they are compostable, but are very high quality.

These are sturdy and look great! Love that they aren’t plastic! I’m also glad they are made with bamboo fiber instead of just being cut from bamboo. I didn’t want to have to worry about splinters and I don’t with these! Nice and smooth design and they look great with rustic decor for a party. We’re using them for a wedding reception. I was looking for spoons for when I occasionally need one and decided to try these out. I don’t want to throw them away when I’m done because they’re so heavy duty I feel like I could use them like normal silverware.

I really dislike single-use plastic cutlery. I understand the usefulness at a picnic, for example. But it bothers me to have to throw a piece of plastic into the landfill after one brief use. I’m generally willing to pay a premium to avoid this.
I’m also big into composting. And while technically these knives are probably better suited to commercial, high-temperature composting operations versus what I can do in my garden, that’s not going to stop me from trying to make these decompose at home 🙂
So, about the cost. These are currently around 12 cents each, and honestly that’s kind of a lot for a disposable knife. Only you can decide whether you want to pay significantly more to avoid the waste of single-use plastics. The way I look at it, it doesn’t really matter much to me that I might be spending 2, 3, 5, or maybe even 10 times as much per knife. It’s probably going to take my family a couple years to work through this 120 pack, and it costs $14. Maybe I would have paid $5 for a similar pack of plastic knives, so it’s a $9 premium over two years. I can live with that.
As far as disposable knives go, these are fine. They are actually pretty sharp and sturdy compared to some plastic knives, though the blade part is somewhat short. For picnic use I don’t really have any complaints about the functionality.
4.5/5 stars. I like ’em just fine, and I’m really happy that I have a compostable option available for just a few dollars more than the single-use plastic alternative.

I love that they echo friendly yet. They are heavy duty and they’re on break. They are perfect for our summer party the color it’s perfect for any team. They are pretty good amount not even though we had a big party. We still have enough for another one.

This cutlery set is well made and sturdy – they could even be hand washed and re-used for personal use, if desired. They have a feel similar to plastic cutlery, which is preferred over other bamboo forks I’ve used that had a wooden feel and splintering. They have also held up to high heat. I like that this set includes more forks than spoons and knives since those are used most. I can’t speak specifically regarding their claim of being biodegradable/compostable so I have to take the manufacturer’s word for it. I feel better about using these than I do plastic disposables.
