I bought these with the expectation that since they’re coated strings, they would be smooth on the fingers like the Elixirs. Unfortunately, they aren’t nearly as smooth. There is some perceived reduction of friction but not to the degree I was hoping for.
However, they’re still exceptionally good strings. I’m just finding that coated means they don’t get gunky like ordinary strings tend to. Even after a few months of using these, there is absolutely no grime to speak of.
Probably won’t buy these again, but I didn’t feel the need to replace them right away either, as they sounded great, and still sound great after much use.
