These are some of the best bass strings you can buy. I’ve used them on the road, in the studio, for my guitar repair clients, and they NEVER let me down. They feel amazing, with a bit more tension. Super sound, and they look great. Well done DR, and made across the river in Jersey!

They are used on a G&L 2500 bass with Ampeg bass amp – they sound great- I play bass in a church group mostly and also will backup old country . Stay in tune ,nice bright sound .

In Australia we pay way too much for bass strings. This is a known product for a good price.

These strings actually are incredibly affordable and look in the lengths of lasting for a year before I’ll notice any changes till then ill remember to input my thoughts of the life of these strings along with a time of estimate hours in which I got about 2 hours into these ones and only intonation the b string and planing to do the rest right now.

Put these on my Fender Jazz Custom 5 string and love the sound. Good articulation and clear, rich sound without being too bright and twangy. My sound guy was complaining that my low B sounded “muddy” with the factory Fenders strings which came on the bass. no more!
The only con – the E and B strings have a much coarser winding than I would like but…hey…I can live with that.

Ottime corde le Dr sono una garanzia montate su Yamaha Tbr sono perfette per lo slap , sound preciso e senza sbavature consiglio vivamente per chi vuole fare funky ma vanno bene anche e il classico pop ecc ecc

DR has made me a customer for life. I had previously played the Lo Rider Nickle Plated set but switched to the stainless steel for a more aggressive tone. The tone and feel of all the DR sets I’ve played, on bass and guitar, is unmatched in my experience; they lock in tight and set up quickly. Once I set up a bass with them I rarely have to tune more than a few cents sharp or flat, ever after slapping and popping.
EGreen –
Sounds great on all styles of music.
The Big J –
Pros: 1) Tight low end and mid, nice cutting high edge
2) Precise articulation
3) More tight feeling on strings, you can pluck harder and get that growl.
4) Slightly better performance on down tuning than other regular tension Dr strings (Not including DDT)
Cons: 1) More rough and abrasive feeling on hand, not so killing pain, but I would definitely not recommend for new players with no protect calluses on their fingers.
2) The tension is higher than other Dr strings, this means more fatigue on your left hand.
3) B string still lacks some life on my 34 scale jazz bass, even though it is better than any other Dr strings in sounding. It could be my set up issue….
So far like above, it still sounds very vivid since my first purchase. You may not like the super metallic sound at the beginning, but that metallic sound will round off after a week. Groove on!
