I’m on my third one. First one died because I couldn’t take it off my 30 gallon tank (my turtle moved from a 30 gallon to 55 gallon). I mean. That thing was STUCK on there. I tried everything (knives included) and it wouldn’t budge off the dang tank. Second one died today (May 23). I have no idea why. I just noticed my lamp on my 55 gallon was tilted to the side… so I looked on the back and, low and behold, this thing was unsticking on one side!!! Weird. It’s been on my 55 gallon for a good 3 months but I still think it must have been something I did… as, again, it wouldn’t BUDGE off the 30 gallon. So I took it off completely (no one wants a lamp landing in the water). I tried regluing it with gorilla glue (fail). And now I’m ordering my 3rd one (happily)

Exo Terra Lamp Holder Bracket for Aquarium

Terra Light Dome or wire fixtures above any Exo Terra Natural Terrarium or other glass terrarium securely. The Exo Terra Light Bracket easily adjusts to fit most types of fixtures or can be used to regulate heat/light according to required terrarium conditions by moving the rubber washers. Since the bulbs do not need to be moved after installation-together with increased ventilation-the light bulbs life span is drastically improved.

Light Dome or Wire Light suspension bracket
    Easily adjustable- hides power cord
    Suspends most light fixtures securely
    Helps prevent accidental tipping

I purchased two of these one for each side of my dragons tank, they are sleek, stylish and look great on the tank specially with one on each side. Well you know as good as a light fixture can look hanging from a tank. LOL

Bought this to hang a mini double-dome lighting fixture above my bearded dragon tank. I love the fact that you can adjust the height, making it a cinch to provide the appropriate distance (~6″) between my beardie and his light so he can’t accidentally roast himself. It’s also great being able to open the sliding screen top without having to awkwardly work around the light fixture sitting on top of it. Now I don’t have to move or worry about the light at all when I’m feeding, spot cleaning the cage, etc.

But perhaps my favorite thing of all about this stand is the peace of mind in knowing that my heating lamp is now safe from being accidentally knocked over by my cats while I am out of the house. The foot of the stand sits underneath the tank, making the structure very sturdy and difficult to tip. The wire clips let you tuck a cord against the stand, making it less dangly and less tempting to cats. My only complaint is that the clips are only big enough to hold one cord, and not the two cords from my double dome fixture (heat + UVB). But it’s really not a big deal… I just used the twisty ties that came in the packaging to help provide some extra security in attaching the second cord to the stand.

Great product… would definitely recommend to others, especially those with cats or small children who are concerned about heat lamp safety/accidental tipping.

Does exactly wanted it to do – works with my Arcadia lamps well, easy to attach to both lamp and enclosure.

I was looking for something to hang a dual lamp over my bearded dragon enclosure. I was looking at the ones that slide under the enclosure but they were so expensive. For the price, I figured it would be worth a shot to try this one. It works fine and the arm can be removed from the mount for cleaning. The adhesive is very strong, so make sure you get it right the first time. I wish I could say the same about the arm. It seems to sag a bit with the weight of my lights. I like how it includes clips to route the wires. All in all, I would recommend this if you don’t have anything heavy.

EDIT: I have used this thing for a few months now. I haven’t had any issues with the adhesive giving way or dropping the light in any way. I’m using a double light rig with a single basking bulb and a single ceramic emitter. It’s fairly heavy, I would say. I tried to remove the adhesive and move it to another tank, but I couldn’t get it to separate from the glass at all. It’s some serious glue in there, so I’m really not sure how anyone was having a problem with this unless they’re using some sort of super heavy bulb rig.

This item is oddly amazing. It weighs nothing (I honestly thought they shipped me an empty box) but it’s extremely sturdy. I agree with the post above, I think I could tow my car with this. I have no idea what kind of adhesive this is, but it seems to have the ability to mix with glass on a molecular level, becoming one for all eternity. Do not place this until you are very, very sure where you need it, it’s never coming off. No idea how some people were able to adjust it. I thought I was going to need proper brackets attached to the wall above the tank to hold a small, fairly heavy light fixture, but had already ordered this so figured I might as well try it. I will not need brackets. This mysterious little object does just fine all on its own. It’s small, inconspicuous, and inexpensive. Love it.

I have had two of these now. The only downfall is that once you stick the braket on (it’s sticky back) then you can’t remove it and it doesn’t work on screened cages. 🙁 I have seen replacement brackets for about $10 but the cost of the entire thing was only a couple dollars more so I bought the entire lamp holder again. My braket I had drilled holes in and screwed it to the back of a screened cage. Don’t bother doing this as the screen just is not strong enough to hold the lights on the lamp holder. It tips over even when I added support. It works great on glass reptariums and terreriums. I have used the one that goes under the cages and I prefer this one when using it with glass. As for screened cages……..I don’t recommend this one and the one that fits under the cage would be better. I would recommend this for anyone who is looking for one for a glass type encloser.
