Farmhouse TV Stand with Sliding Barn Doors

I really love the product. At first when I was putting the stand together it seems flimsy but once it’s all put together it’s very sturdy. The only thing that didn’t stay in place was the little pieces the hold the shelves in the cabinet they kept falling out but I hot glued it so it worked fine. It took a little over 2 hours to put together with two people. Only because the instructions are only pictures there’s no word telling what to do lol but it was still helpful.. if your looking for something affordable and nice get it!

Looked overwhelming to put together when I first unboxed it, but went together pretty easy! Instructions were very clear and easy to follow. Says takes 45 minutes to build but probably did take me about double the time, stopping to do other things/breaks. Love the way it looks in my family room! Sturdy and solid!

I purchased a new 55″ tv and discovered that the universal hanging arm I already owned would not fit it. After debating the best solution, hubby and I decided to purchase a sturdy piece of furniture to both hold the new tv and provide storage underneath. This YESHOMY Farmhouse TV Stand is both attractive and functional. While assembly is a project, and there was one piece that didn’t exactly match the instructions (causing a bit of reassembly to get it placed correctly), it wasn’t really difficult. All hardware is included, with extras of some pieces, as well as small wrenches and a screwdriver. When sorting the packaging to recycle, I discovered a small piece of both the laminate top and the white shelving, presumably to facilitate repairs. Somehow, the top was dinged while we were moving it around, leaving a small depression that shows white underneath the wood finish; the provided laminate will be useful when I get around to fixing it. I love the look of the finished cabinet and the general functionality. There are only holes in the back of the middle shelves for routing cords; more would have been helpful in the other sections. I wasn’t able to place my turntable or sound system base on the shelves, which are not deep enough to allow the doors to slide, but they hold plenty of decorative items and dvd’s, etc. Overall, this unit feels very sturdy and solid. It’s a great addition to my home for a reasonable price.

This product came in 2 boxes delivered on the same day. One was the firebox, the other the rest of the unit. The first thing we did was unpack the firebox, unplug it to make sure it worked, and familiarized ourselves with the controls and features. (BTW you CAN turn on the flame option without the heat. I posted that question and no one answered).

The instruction booklet says assembly in 45 minutes. It took the 2 of us 4 hours. However we were very careful to lay out all the pieces and make sure everything was included, which meant counting parts, so that added extra time. The instructions are all pictures, and sometimes it took a few minutes to figure out the configuration, but we only had to reattach a piece once, and we noticed our mistake right away.

Some reviews said the holes didn’t line up, or the unit wasn’t sturdy. We had no problem with those things.

The instructions say the remote uses AAA batteries but it doesn’t, it’s one of those flat round ones. I still haven’t figured out how to open the remote, but I’ll worry about that when the battery dies.

Overall it’s a very nice unit for the price. Let’s face it, an electric fireplace will never look like a real one, but it adds ambiance and at least it has faux logs vs the crystals I’ve seen in other fireplaces.

BTW piece #13 is a center shelf that needs to be LEFT OFF if you are inserting a firebox. The instructions don’t warn you of that but we could see right away that we needed to leave that off.
