This filament looks nice, but was hard to nail down the correct temperature to print at to remove stringing. All my prints I ended up dealing with the stringing as then came off fairly easily. The color on this filament is very nice, and I will most likely purchase again. Do keep in mind that ASA filament is Hygroscopic, so it likes to absorb moisture from the air, especially if it’s a humid day. So a filament drier is going to be your friend.

Usando Imrpesora Bambulab P1S imprime perfecto con la configuracion basica del filamento que viene predefinida por la marca. Se gestiona como si fuera filamento Bambu y sin ningun problema. He impreso piezas pequeñas sin ningun problema y grandes he tenido que aplicar algo de laca en la base (sin laca el riesgo de despegarse es enorme)
*VENTAJAS:
– Buena adesion entre capas
– Puedes usar los parametros standard de Bambulab
– Calidad de impresion igual que si imprimes PLA
*DESVENTAJAS
– Huele bastante aun con filtros e impresora cerrada (olor similar al ABS)
– El acabado es bastante brillante

I used this as the non-structural accent color for a voron 2.4. The first picture is of it in a layer change, the other is printed on one of those sparkly build plates. Color is consistent sky-blue.
I had no issues with it, printed at the approximate limit of my dragon ace on an 0.4 nozzle (30mm³/s), 300mm/s, 25k accels. No warping or adhesion issues in a 75c chamber.

Not sure how the current $80+ price tag makes sense but I liked it at the old price 🤷

Easy to use, the recommended settings were accurate and it printed well right away. It prints better than the poly maker stuff I was using. No lifting no uneven extrusion. As you can see in the pic the parts look great 🙂
I would definitely recommend this ASA and will buy it again. More colours would be nice but I mostly use black and white anyways.

Have used this to make feet and carry handles for PCP air tanks, printed smoothly. Had some initial problems with printer setup, too wide a gap for the nozzle but once that was correctly set, things printed with good quality, no bumps, holes or stringing. Just ordered another reel, down to the last few wraps on this one. Was the darker blue in ASA, have found that blue usually prints well in any filament type.

Update:
What I thought was breakage due to crosses in the filament turned out to be poorly developed filament. In some areas in bends, like you would bend slightly to load the filament through your extruder.
In other areas, it snaps almost instantly with very little pressure. So, if your machine even slightly pulls on the filament as it’s feeding during a print it will snap. I had this issue every other print over a weekend of printing a few things.
I will be returning and spending a little more money on a better filament. It’s a shame if it were not for the brittleness this would be a decent filament, even easier to work with than some PLA brands I’ve purchased in the past.
But I’ve never had filament this brittle before.

Read a lot of horror stories about ASA, this one took me only 2 short test prints to get dialed in which was nice.
However, every other print the filament gets snagged on itself and snaps off mid print.
The spool also comes unwound incredibly easily, perhaps the easiest out of any filament I’ve ever printed with.
All in all I’d (*NOT*) buy again but it’s pretty annoying to deal with the small issues

I got the FLASHFORGE ASA Filament for a van build project which needed several parts to be 3D printed. I’ve used it to print these parts and so far, they’re holding up well. I appreciate the consistency in prints this filament provides. It’s nice not having to worry about warping or other common issues I’ve faced with different filaments.
The UV and temperature resistance is a notable feature. The parts have been exposed to various outdoor conditions and they seem to be handling it well.
I found the filament easy to work with. It fed through the printer smoothly without any clogs or bubbles, which was a relief.
The durability of the material is good from what I’ve seen so far. The parts feel sturdy and are performing as expected in my van build.
Overall, I’m pleased with the FLASHFORGE ASA Filament. It worked well for my specific need of printing durable parts for outdoor use in my van build.

This ASA filament prints very smoothly, but obviously compared to PLA/PETG it requires more preparation to use. On my Ender 3V2:
Settings- 250 deg nozzle, 110 deg C bed, part cooling usually off (5-10% if there are overhangs), 20% fan over bridges only.
Enclosure and enclosure temp: I had great success printing this without any signs of warping with a enclosure; the passive heat from printing kept the interior at about 50 deg C. I am planning on making a DIY chamber heater, but in the meantime I’ve been using a temp sensor and a hair dryer to pre-heat the interior to at least 45 deg C before starting print (otherwise it takes forever to get up to temp).
This was my very first test with ASA as I am prepping for a future Voron build and the results are much nicer than I expected, with extremely smooth and shiny layers and no signs of layer adhesion issues. Ironically, most of the early parts I’ve printed were done to replace older PLA mods on my printer that could not handle heated chamber conditions without experiencing heat creep under stress, and the newly printed ASA parts worked perfectly fine in the same conditions.
