I bought Griot’s Ceramic Wash & Coat for my 1971 Ford Maverick Grabber. I had treated it with their 3-in-1 Ceramic last summer and was looking for a wash that would help maintain it. The Maverick was still in the shop when the order arrived so I tried it on our daily drivers and work vehicles. This was my first time using a ceramic wash. I was surprised by how low suds it was. For the dirtier working vehicles I had to change the wash water once while washing, the water got dirty fast and I found myself washing with dirty water. It made me wonder if other products I used were not removing as much dirt. The hydrophobic beading is instantaneous. These were vehicles that did not have a layer of ceramic coat. Weeks later in the Western Washington rain they are still beading and seem to stay cleaner. My Maverick came home from the shop and the first thing I did was wash her with the ceramic wash and coat. Only had to use one bucket as that car is kept really clean. The water beaded right up, no streaking when I dried it. The wash smells as good as the 3-in-1. I’ll be buying more now that I’m using it on all the cars, not just the special one.

I bought this product because I am a fan of Griot’s. However I must say I am disappointed. The car just went through a snow storm the other day so it was really dirty. Using my foam canon made very little foam and did not stick tot he car. I always use a microfiber mitt and bucket with more product in the bucket to go over the car after the initial spray. After cleaning the car and drying it I noticed streaking on the paint and then, upon a closer look there was still a film of dirt on the car, sort of like when you go through a touch less car wash. This product might work better on not so dirty cars, but if your car is filthy maybe look for another soap.

Got a brand new pressure washer with a foam cannon. Decided to test it out on our two vehicles. This was a terrible idea. Under overcast conditions I rinsed my vehicles, sprayed with foam, scrubbed, and rinsed without letting the product dry. This car wash left streaks all over my vehicles. I literally had to use a microfiber cloth and polish my two vehicles from top to bottom to get rid of the streaks. What was supposed to be a quick wash ended up being a 2-hour ordeal. Never again. Although not recommended, I should have used dish soap instead. It would have done a better job.

I was looking for a shampoo that came with coating and since I try this one no water stay on the car it runs off I would buy this again so easy to used just was the car with a bucket of water and hose it down and dry it and watch the magic happen when it rains

I used the Turtle Wax and Meguiars ceramic wash and Griot’s surpasses both of them. I originally used TW religiously after not being able to find Meguiars. It worked good and didnt have many complains. I saw Griot’s on Amazon and really wanted to try it as I use their 3-1 ceramic spray wax. It is all I will use now!
It suds better than the other two. It won’t sud as much as your normal soaps just as an FYI. That goes for all ceramic washes. It glides amazing and pickups up dirt and grime effortlessly. We’ve been having non-stop rain the past two weeks and my car still repels like it when I first treated it with the 3-1. Car looks just washed even with it picking up the dirty rain water on the road. I get compliments on the shine and how clean it always looks. I have a white car and can easily go 2 weeks without a maintenance wash.
A complaint I had with Turtle Wax was that it would dry and stain pretty quickly. I have to wash my car in 10 sections. With Griots I can wash my car in two sections and not worry about the staining. This is something you have to look at when using ceramic washes. You DO NOT want it drying with out rinsing it out. This picture was going 3 weeks without a wash.

This product like the wash mitt is a huge disappointment and while it might make suds with a foam gun it does absolutely terrible trying to use it with a bucket and wash mitt. Sadly I didn’t try it before the return window expired. It would not create any suds and I used way more than it recommended to try and get soap suds. Do not recommend.

I’ve been using this product with Griot’s Foam Cannon as a final rinse/drying aid and the results are fantastic. Here’s a top tip: Once you’re done with a normal wash/rinse of your car, grab a clean microfiber mitt and your foam cannon and go one panel at a time, foaming it with the Ceramic wash and coat. Spread it around the surface with the mitt and then rinse the entire car down. You’ll get little if zero water spots and superior water beading for months. DO NOT apply this product in direct sunlight or on super hot (80+) days or the product will dry and leave a visible residue that needs to be polished off.

So compared to similar products, this does a pretty good job for the money. I used a foam gun to apply, and scrubbed the car with a regular microfiber wash mitt. The soap cleans well, and does an “ok” job of water repelling. I tasted it after stripping the ceramic coating off of my car with a strip wash, and it did ok and didn’t last very long. BUT, where this shines is using it every week or to on top of your ceramic coat to add protection and prolong the life of the existing coating. After reapplying my fresh ceramic coat, I use this when I was my car, and it works great. This is a better choice than some other stronger detergents that will eat away at your ceramic coat. It’s also a much larger bottle than I expected, and a little goes a long way in a foam gun! Will definitely continue to use this product, and recommend it to any car enthusiast, or just anyone who wants to take good care of their ride!

I used this product in my foam gun attachment on my pressure washer. My Audi is ceramic coated and the Ceramic wash & coat was awesome/ I use a leaf blower to dry my car right after washing it and the car looked perfect, no water spots and a great shine.
