This seriously gets some great distance even on the lower setting. The sound is great with so many tones to choose from! We only have one but I would be interested to see hours it works with more than one sensor. Easy to set up and keep in use!

Bought the alarm receiver and two additional sensors. They work great. It’s been over two years and they’re still going strong. Just this week we changed the batteries and technically they were still good, just not 100%. The device still worked, but we decided to be proactive before the batteries died. These have been outdoors in all temperatures, single digits to triple digits, rain, wind, snow. The weather has had no effect. We have a couple set up at various areas of our LONG curved driveway. This is about 500 feet from the house and you can’t see the house from most of it. This alarm alerts us if something is on the driveway. The second alarm tells us that whatever is on the driveway is coming towards the house and gives us a few second heads up. We put two because at one point in the driveway we have a lot of wildlife activity that crosses in that area. The second sensor tells us it’s not just that, but something/someone is actually approaching. The sensor have a variety of sounds you can select, so each sensor can have a different tone. We use two different tones on the driveway, so we know where the incoming vehicle/person/animal is located. The tones have a lot of variety, from what sounds like a submarine dive alert, a creepy sound like you’d hear in a spooky movie, chimes, musical and voices such as “driveway or back yard”. I am very impressed w/the quality of these and on top of all that, they’re cute.

This is the 6 th unit I’ve purchased for home security. This unit I placed at front door high up, pointing down to approach front porch. When we are home the unit sounds off inside the house when someone walks to the porch. Works great for drop deliveries, as your pkg won’t sit outside for hours while you are at home because delivery people do not ring your door bell. Great for yard, garage around yard security, notifies you of someone in the yard, etc…

I read review after review! Could such a reasonably priced alarm system really be that good? The short answer is yes! All the positive reviews are correct! No fluff, no non-sense, this thing works as advertised. The sound is about what you’d expect from a little plastic box, kind of plasticky, like a child’s toy. But really, what do you expect at this price? It’s not like you’re listening your stereo. It’s light weight and portable which is real nice, sets up easy and rather quick. I like the fact I now have an early warning system. A car turning around at the end of my 100 yard drive is one thing, but at 50 yards the alarm goes off giving me instant situational awareness day or night! Get any closer, motion detection lights turn on. Next my 120 pound, four legged friend alerts me and any would be bad guy that their next move, (depending if friend or foe), may not be in their best interest. Great security investment! And as a perimeter warning system, you don’t have to keep resetting it! The second owl can be set in closer so you know exactly how close the intruder may be. Did they breach the second alarm? If so, you now know how close they are, and thats only with two owls. This system is expandable so you could set a bird every tens yards if you wanted. Overall, inexpensive peace of mind at a great price!

Works great! Like being able to pick your sounds. We chose the owl hoot. Best sound and goes with the owl itself. Like that the eyes light up also. Kids love it. Good deal for the $$.

We don’t have a lot of windows towards our driveway, so I never know when someone is coming in, SUPER easy to install and we have it set 1/2 mile away and works great! Just make sure where you place it. If it’s sunset/sunrise and have trees in the way, it would cause shadows, so the alarm would go off.
Has different sounds to choose from and volume. I would recommend this to anyone. Great alarm

Worked perfectly, alerted me to landlord showing up without any notice, was able to close bedroom curtain and lock bedroom door before he let himself in illegally. He’s still nosing around, so different alarms are letting me know where he is until he leaves. .
I took other peoples’ advice, applied silicone caulk around battery cover for a better seal – they’ve both kept working through tropical storms. Both sensors are sensitive, have one on low and one on high- branches set them off. That’s good, I don’t wanna wake up to my landlord looking at me thru window again. False alarms are better than creeps. So grateful to have affordable, easy to install and reliable alert till I can move. It’s giving me back my peace of mind in an unnerving situation – and it’s just let me know he’s going towards his car, and I can go back to my meditation:) Worth every penny and more!

Switchable range and detection work well. We have a couple of these. One goes across the driveway entrance. This let you know if you have visitors like deliveries, friends and family, etc. also anything or anyone you particularly might want to know approaching. Let’s us know if deer are coming in to munch and tear up the lawn. Goes quite far across our front yard.
We also have one on our front porch that makes a great “contactless doorbell”. Again, different sounds can indicate which owl sensor is triggered.
Also we use multiple sensors and the receiver can (SERIOUSLY) be easily programmed with pretty cool tones like a bird or owl and announcements like “Driveway”. Adding sensors is easy also. A lot of thought went into developing this product. It is designed well to seal out the elements, and the customer support appears personal and sincere.

The Owl alarm system is great! It’s attractive (cute even) and very easy to set up. I like that it has so many types of alarms (35) and different levels of sound. You can choose between 4 volume levels. The receiver (alarm part) is plugged into an outlet in your home or work area in a spot where you can easily hear it from all levels of your home. The sound quality is very good. My husband is hard of hearing but has no problem hearing it when it’s on it’s loudest setting. We have wild ducks, pheasants, deer, foxes, turtles and beaver here and so far no false alarms! However, if someone drives along the driveway it picks them up quite easily. I raise Irish Setters so I was concerned about them setting it off, so we placed it in an area so that if they head down the driveway to leave the property, we get an alarm in time to call them back. Also, if people walk onto the property, it warns us as well.
Our sensors are a good distance from our home, yet still work accurately. I haven’t rated the battery life of the sensors, as our system is new, however, if I find that it isn’t as good as expected after time, I will update my review.
I purchased the set with two sensors. I wish I had ordered a larger set. I will order some extra motion sensors later. We plan to place one to warn us of animals/people near our chicken coop/run and our adjoining dog/puppy run as well as at each access point of our property. We have one set up that will warn us if someone enters our garage or back door area – especially at night. The dogs will warn us if someone enters from the other doors. 🙂
This is a great price for a simple to use but well-working alarm system. I highly recommend it.

Overall, works well. Easy to set up and doesn’t kill batteries very quickly. Sensor should be sealed with waterproof tape around the circumference or set in an enclosure, due to the gasket possibly letting water into the unit and causing malfunction. Support is very good and promptly deal with issues. There is a hidden screw in the hole for hanging it.
