I have the OG Red Wing mocs,
these are just as good, dare I say, better? They’re comfortable!
I these are the best purchase I’ve had in a while from amazon
lately they’ve been severely lacking in the quality control, but these were just as the description says.
They were a size 12, so i knew they were going to be slightly bigger than what im used to getting from Red Wing
but even so, they’re just perfect, conforms to my feet just great!
These are my my new daily driver boots. Forget about the basic Timbs, those are not even close to the quality these shoes are at. You do pay more, but it is worth every penny
The only timbs I’ve ever liked were the Britton Hill Moc Toes, those are the only Timbs i can recommend. if you have the budget though, go for these, or have even more budget, get the OG Red Wings

I needed a second pair of boots to alternate with my redwings. Good quality leather and comfortable boots. No break in time really needed. For the price these are good boots.

Boots were new and came in the box but they had a few scuff marks and what looked like glittery fingerprints all over them…a good wipe down and no worries… Also, be sure to get them in wide fit.. Even the wide fit are tight.. Great Boots & great price
Hector –
Irish setter one of the best boots I have used, very perfect for heavy duty during winter, for me I consider this boot as a piece of art, well crafted and perfectly stitched

So far so good, only been wearing them a few days now so my feet are still getting used to the support level, moved from a hiking type shoe to a work boot hoping to get better support and longevity. The leather is surprisingly soft and pliable right out of the box, they fit well, and they look nice. Had a 12 hour day in them yesterday and my feet weren’t the sorest part of my body (walk around on hard surfaces average 7-10 miles a day). If they maintain comfort and hold up, the four star may become a five.
Update: 6 months in the four star did become a 5 star. These seem to get more comfortable every day, the leather is pretty supple now, and other than having to get one of them stretched to accommodate a large foot, which is hardly the boots fault, they’ve been great. Just clean and oil them every three months or so, takes 10 minutes and it keeps the leather from drying out and water resistant. They also look brand new every time you’re done, been using the sofsole mink oil, works really well.
UPDATE:
I’ve had these boots for about 8 months now and they have broken in very nicely. I did have to get one of them stretched a little (left foot is wider than my right foot), but that was no big deal. I walk around on hard surfaces all day (7-9 miles a day) and these boots have kept my feet in pretty good shape. They are getting close to needing a re-sole and I will definitely do that as opposed to getting a new pair, even thought the price isn’t that different the leather has gotten so soft and supple I don’t want to get rid of them. I find if you oil them regularly (1-2 months) they stay looking pretty new and supple. Great boot, going to get another pair for my camping and fishing trips.

This is my second pair of Irish Setter Ashby’s….I’ve worn Red Wing’s, Thorogood’s, Danner’s , Irish Setter wing shooters and these by far are the most comfortable. Quality and thickness of leather is way better too. Soft and virtually no “break in” time. And at $100 dollars less than above mentioned boots…..can’t go wrong. Boot fit, break in time, length of use and how hard you beat on them is obviously subjective and related to individual use, foot size, shape etc. After 30 years in the trades I think I finally found my go to boot.

Great boot once you get them broken in

High level of quality and perfect fit. Get wide if you don’t have Skinny feet. First day of wearing and only got a tiny bit of heel rub but no blister. These are the best bang for your buck in this price range or possibly even in higher price ranges. I tried almost all of them in the 150 range and these are the best quality that I found.
