Bought this tv to replace my LG bedroom tv that died. The picture was just ok on regular channels. The hi-def channels were pretty good but not every channel is hi-def so that creates a problem. The regular channels clarity was the same clarity that I have when I don’t have my glasses on! Not good! I also must have bought a defective one. 2-3 days after we bought it, the bottom quarter of the screen started flashing after the tv had been on long enough to warm up. I returned it and paid a little more for a much better tv from Costco that also came with a 5 year warranty. I bought the LG 48″ Class – OLED C2 Series -4K UHD OLED TV and it is PHENOMENAL! The picture quality is 100% better than this one I purchased from Amazon. Worth the extra, trust me. We also purchased new hi-def HDMI cables as recommended in the reviews on the Costco website.

This review is for the 75-inch QNED series 80…
Amazon/LG needs to CORRECT the title for the QNED 80 series as they are NOT MINI-LED. This series, with exception of the 86-inch model, are EDGE LIT. Always do your research before buying a TV, don’t trust ads or titles, although advertising these sets as Mini-LED is borderline false advertising.
I tried hard to find the difference in visual quality between the QNED 80 and 85 series before deciding to purchase this set. There are a few notable differences between the 80 and 85 series…first and foremost, a $500 price difference. Secondly, the 80 series doesn’t support Dolby Vision. Last but not least, the 80 series are edge-lit (except for the 86″ model) and the 85 series are mini-LED lit. The question is, was I willing to drop another $500 for mini-LED lighting and Dolby Vision?
For the life of me, I could not tell the difference between the edge and mini-LED lighting on the same 75-inch sets when comparing the two. Both looked almost identical (configured identically at an electronics store, side-by-side), certainly nothing I could see that would justify a $500 price tag difference for some barely noticeable to marginal differences in black levels.
LG TV’s are well-built. The back of the TV is a sheet of metal, which is why these sets weigh 70+ lbs in the 75-inch size range. Cheaper TV sets, such as TCL and Hisense, are 100% plastic on the exterior. The picture quality of this set is amazing. It rivals OLED quality, just doesn’t quite have the contrast or black levels of an OLED, but also not subject to burn-in or shorter lifespan of an OLED set. Last but not least, the price point on these is reasonable…this is a great mid-level set that’ll rival the picture quality of higher-end sets costing twice as much, if not more. The WebOS is quite responsive, set up is very easy and intuitive, and responsiveness of the display with modern gaming systems (PS5) is absolutely amazing. For 120Hz 4K, make sure you’re using HDMI cables that meet the 2.1 HDMI specs, for 48Gbps throughput, or you may not get 120Hz to your set. Definitely recommend LG QNED series TV. A picture is worth 1000 words, a great 120Hz picture must be worth at least $1000 bucks…

β¦and so far so good! I purchased this in December after my 2 year old Samsung just died out of nowhere. I like this tv. Itβs not the best in the world, but itβs pretty good. I find that all the picture settings donβt look that good except for vivid. I just wish there werenβt movie ads on the screen every time youβre on the home screen. Itβs annoying. Iβd rather have a simplistic home screen. It also randomly will switch from home screen to antenna/cable input by itself. Which is also annoying. Donβt know why it does this. The LG channels are cool. I paired it seamlessly and quickly with my Vizio sound bar. For an average price tv I still think this is a good one.

Was a bit more expensive than what I’m used to spending for a TV but because of the higher htz gaming features its worth it. I ran into a bug but found out it was my HDMI cable. So i changed that and it works like a charm.
I would definitely buy a sound bar as with certain songs or shows it sounds thin, but other than that, months after buying it, it’s been working well.

Good price, delivered on time, I’m happy

I have an older 50″ LG (4 years ) and this later model is even better with a brighter picture.
interesting that the TV automatically switches to some sort of cinema mode as it recognizes the intent of the original movie to be in that mode. Often that results in a dark picture. So I change to a brighter mode and somehow the TV always remembers to use my mode.
I dont use the smart features nor the internet connections .. I go through my cable provider and use a cheap sound bar ..
overall pretty good results at a pretty good price

I love this TV even though I do not watch a lot of TV. The video and audio quality coming from this TV is second to none. It is a quality piece and LG has done a great job in offering this technology at a competitive price. It is truly a smart TV. I bought three.
