The monitor is great but the omron app is very poor (2 stars in the app stores, I wouldn’t even download it), so first find another app that will work for you with this model monitor. I chose Samsung Health (SH) which came preloaded on my Galaxy S9x phone but can be downloaded onto most phones; I also found MedMBP will sync with this model BP7000. (The SH app is fantastic and keeps track of a wide variety of health, nutrition and exercise data. If used with a galaxy phone it has an embedded oxygen saturation (SO2) sensor, so all together it’s about as good as what the nurse does before the doctor comes in!)
The monitor is all one piece (no base or tubes) and appears high quality Japanese manufacture. Taking your BP twice a day fresh batteries should last about 6 months. The simple b/w display is dim and small but can be easily read indoors.
I cannot speak to the “accuracy” of the oscillometric method of calculating BP this monitor uses versus other methods of determining BP (goes for all monitors that don’t use a separate stethoscope.) This monitor produces very consistent readings from an average of several readings taken in each measurement, including heart rate. The readings produced are rated within a couple of points +/- of any accurate method of determining BP, so the most important thing for your health is BP trends over time and this device will measure that accurately as long as it is in proper working order.
As others have noted, applying the formed, prerolled cuff in the proper position can be a little annoying, so just sit quietly for a moment before pressing the On button lol.
About 3rd party apps and this monitor –
See section 4.3, step 2 in the monitor instructions, while the app you choose is in BLE pairing mode, to pair the monitor to the app; this process is otherwise covered in the omron app if you have difficulty pairing, pairing is not covered in the monitor instructions – don’t be intimidated, they will pair if this model is listed in the app you choose.
If you choose SH as your recording app (no, I don’t have any affiliation with SH lol), taking and recording your BP is literally a one-button push procedure (after applying the cuff correctly. ) SH does not have to be open on top or even running, even if you have restarted your phone, once paired it will sync with the monitor and tabulate and graph the BP you get from pushing the On button, Automatically! Your phone and BLE have to be on (not shut down) when you push the button and take your BP, that’s all. You can manually add your BP into SH if your phone battery died or something avoidable like that.
SH will download your data in various ways, including apparently creating a PDF, to share with your provider.
Great monitor – just find a great app that pairs with it!

My friend had this cuff and it was very comfortable and easy to put on without fuss. It also seemed accurate as I tested it in spurts of 3. The numbers were within 3 digits which seems normal. Purchased mine and have enjoyed using it now for about a month. Would recommend. The app is eh. but works for keeping track of your history.

Easier to use and far more accurate than the Welch Allyn tabletop style cuff I have been using. This one-piece Omron unit works flawlessly without all the fussiness I had been dealing with. BP readings are quick and error free now. The Omron Connect bluetooth app is excellent and bluetooth connectivity with my android smartphone is completely trouble free.

The product received was OMRON smart elite plus. Not this one. So returned.

Overall this blood pressure is easy to use and accurate. It is easily paired with an iPhone to collect blood pressure data over time.
I like this monitor because it is an upper arm cuff which is apparently more accurate than a wrist cuff. I also like it because it is a more compact all-in-one device which doesn’t have all of the wires or air tubes that othe blood pressure cuffs have. This makes it more portable if you want to pack it in luggage or a backpack for travel.
While you can connect it to your phone via Bluetooth, the monitor also has a built in display so you can take blood pressure readings without the need for a phone. This makes it more flexible to use in most situations.
It’s not very loud when filling the cuff and it automatically shuts off when the blood pressure measurement is taken.
I would recommend this to anyone who wants accurate blood pressure measurements in a compact battery powered device.

I have been very happy with this BP reader so far. I LOVE how it’s an all in one piece; no more hoses going from the cuff to the unit or trying to figure out if I have everything in the right place. This cuff makes it a lot easier to deal with. Just put it on right above your elbow and hit the button. Nothing else to fiddle with. I also really like how it takes your reading as the cuff is inflating so by the time it hits the maximum inflation/tightness, it releases immediately. No more sore arm/bicep from it being squeezed so much.
The reason I bought this was because of the all in one factor, and because it would sync with my phone and with Apple Health. And it does both well. You do have to set up the manufactures app, so it won’t just sync directly to Apple Health, but I don’t think anything can do that. Once you have it setup, anytime it syncs with the app, it will sync with Apple Health. The only bummer I’ve noticed is it doesn’t always just automatically sync with your phone. If you don’t have your phone and the app open, it won’t sync automatically. I wished I could just leave my phone in my bedroom or wherever and take my reading and have it sync, but I don’t think it works like that. It did seem to one time do this, but not sure how or why it worked like this once (my phone was locked in the other room, but once I took my measurement, I got a notification that there was a new reading. Hasn’t done that since, so idk). The good thing is it’s not hard to sync it. As soon as you open the app, it initiates a sync and pulls your info in, so it’s not hard or too cumbersome to get it to sync, I just wish it was automatic. It’s also good that the cuff stores up to 100 (I think) readings so even if you don’t sync it after each reading, you don’t have to worry about it losing the previous one if you take another one.
Overall, I’m quite happy with the size, the way it works and the ability to have it write to Apple Health. Only downside I have with it is I wish it synced automatically each time. I still wouldn’t hesitate to purchase this is you’re looking for a smart BP monitor.
