I had recently purchased an AYN Odin 2 Max and wanted to expand the available storage for my retro emulation needs. This card has done its job perfectly to the T. 1TB of extra storage on my handheld has given me so much more room to create a VAST library of games to emulate over time. I see no lag when running games off of the SD card which is awesome, plus with the speed of the card, getting the games onto the card takes no time at all.

(Side Comment; where is the 2TB version of this.) I store a lot of video on my phone. I can’t reply on internal storage alone anymore. I like the fact that android still supports these cards.(Come on apple, get in the game). Having enough storage to store songs, photos, podcasts, etc. when on the move is a very nice thing to have on planes or roadtrips. I just don’t like that not every phone of android still supports SD cards these days. There used to be a product that had a WiFi hotspot storage years ago. They are being phased out for cloud storage instead. What if I ran out of cell data or had no way to access the net. My phone would just be used as a paperweight till it came back online. For Nintendo switch. I ran out of space on 512gb card and had to upgrade to 1tb to continue storing my growing video game collection. This card had better performance when loading games compared to the sandisk ultra I previously used. It cuts the load times by a few seconds on long loads. The Nintendo switch has 100mb read limit on the SD card reader so the performance is only slightly noticeable when the game like Lego city undercover or Crash Team Racing loads into a level. I highly give this card five stars and recommend it to switch owners and Media Buffs like me.

Pros:
– High Capacity.
– Fastest Read/Write times of all the cards on the Amazon site.
– Quick Delivery.
– Easy installation in a Samsung Galaxy S20+ phone.
– Records 4K video streams with no buffering.
Cons:
– Expensive SD card.
– Lack of availability. I could only buy one card.
I have a lot of large files and do backups of files from the phone to my servers so I need not only large capacity but high data transfer speeds. Above all, I need reliability. The Sandisk Extreme Pro meets my criterion in all respects. Sandisk has always provided me with a superior reliable product in the past so I am willing to pay more for the performance and reliability. Samsung does not offer a 1TB Micro SD card so there is only Sandisk as the supplier of high capacity, high performance SD cards. No other vendor comes close to the state Read/Write speeds of the Sandisk Extreme Pro. I have tried most of the vendors (not the no-name brands offered on Amazon) but all of them either failed within months because of the high read/write loads, or just didn’t have high enough read/write speeds to meet my requirements. Only Samsung made an SD card that came closer the the Sandisk card in terms of performance and reliability. Unfortunately, the largest micro SD card that Samsumg offers is a 512 GB card. If you have ever lost your data to a SD card failure, the higher cost of a better card means almost nothing.
The only problem I had with the Sandisk Etreme Pro 1TB card was that Amazon.com only had 1 card in stock when I ordered it. Since I needed 2 cards, I had to settle for ordering a Sandisk Extreme 1TB card which has slightly lower performance specs than the Extreme Pro (190 MB/sec Read vs. 200 MB/sec Read).
In conclusion; if performance and reliability with the highest capacity are your requirements and cost is not really a consideration then the Sandisk Extreme Pro is the only card you want to get.
