How to Use
WIFI Connection for Android and IOS
- Download the “Max-see” software from Google Play or the App Store.
- Long press the power button to turn on the microscope.
- Connect to the WiFi “Max-see” (no password) emitted from the microscope.
- Run the app to start using the microscope. Note: The “+”, “-“, and “Take Photo” function keys only work in WiFi connection mode.
USB Connection for PC
- For Windows 7/8, download “AMCap” to start using.
- For Windows 10, plug into the USB port, search for CAMERA in Windows, and click to open.
- For MacBook, use the bundled software Photo Booth or QuickTime Player directly.
- Ensure you disable the default laptop camera in Windows and adjust privacy settings to permit access.

I’m reviewing this with respect to the price, and for the price it’s really quite a nice microscope. Don’t think for a second it will approach 1000x, and I deducted a star for the blatant lie. I don’t know what the magnification is, but I’d guess around 40x, which is what I expected when I bought it for my son.
I also deducted a star for the WiFi setup. The microscope is an access point, and you need to connect your phone to its WiFi, so you lose access to the Internet. When you’re done, you switch back. I just dedicated an old phone to it to avoid switching.
The picture quality and ease of use are quite good. If you need to look at bugs, tiny solder joints, or a splinter, it works fine. I prefer a loupe like the Kingscope LED Illuminated Loupe as it’s easier, but it won’t take photos. If you want to see diatoms and amoebas in pond water or cheek cells, it won’t work.

The quirks are manageable (stiff focus wheel, camera moves side to side when you focus in and out causing you to have to readjust to center the target)
You’ll see other options that claim 4k, but connectivity is terrible on those. Because this one actually works it gets 2 more stars.
BUT, the focus wheel started to catch after 5 days so I’m guessing it’ll just get worse. Which is why I’m returning it.
I liked seeing things in a different perspective. Very cool seeing things up close like that. Eye opening even.
Low quality parts probably won’t last long. When you zoom in and out the camera shifts so you have to move again to find the target. The zoom wheel is stiff so it takes some getting used to. If you have hand issues this is not the product for you. The stand is useless. I know the pictures make it seem like it would be helpful, but it isnt at all. The focus wheel is very stiff, and you always have to use it to. That being said, the stand being so low quality and easy to move means you can’t find the target after you lost it and by the time you do you have to refocus, and the cycle goes on.
Connectivity worked well.
The camera itself is great.
The leds are great.
When the focus wheel works, the focus is great.
I wasn’t too bothered about the quirks with zooming in and out. Every item has its quirks. My decision to return it was the zoom wheel catching. It didn’t catch initially which leads me to believe it’ll get worse. The wheel catching was on day 5. It may seem like not a big deal to some, but the focus really makes or breaks a microscope.
I have ordered the newest model of this, so we’ll see how that one does.
Update: ended up not returning it, still haven’t tried the updated model. Dust is thr enemy of this thing. Once it gets in the lense it doesn’t come out because of the design. I got some calcium chloride dust in there because I’m an idiot, tried to clean the lense to no avail. Took the whole thing apart and the lense is glued in a way you can’t get to it.
Anyway, its still functional, just some annoying dots on the screen.

Eu já tinha comprado microscópios para minha sala de aula, tipo brinquedo. Decepção. Mas este digital é espetacular! Tem ótima acuidade e foco, fácil de usar, e não precisa quebrar a cabeça e a paciência posicionando o objeto e ficando longos minutos focalizando e ainda assim obter uma imagem péssima como os que eu comprara. Neste, não! As imagens são belíssimas, nítidas, com bons aumentos, e compossibilidade de capturar as imagens fotos e fazer vídeos! As crianças das minhas turmas simplesmente AMARAM! Querem aulas de Ciências todos os dias kkkkk Recomendo para todas as idades.

This is an amazing tool! I use it to check for bugs in leafy vegetables and it works so well. You see these little dots with your naked eye but when you zoom in you see these creepy bugs. Great quality and easy to use.

I bought this on a lark since I developed a professional digital microscope that cost considerably more.
I was pleasantly surprised at it. it is well made, well thought out and the app installed first time. Worked flawlessly on my PC and android phone. Zoom is acceptable for looking at PCBs, light control is good, focus a little touchy but to be expected with these small lenses.
This would make a great learning tool for kids.

I bought this for a very specific reason and I was a little unsure if it would work for what I needed!
After unboxing, I set up the 2 stands that came in the box. I was very impressed with the metal stand quality, its sturdy, stays out where you adjust it and looks sharp!
The images on the microscope itself are pretty clear for the price I paid. It’s in no way HD or 4k? But it gets detailed and very macro shots of anything you may need!
Has an adjustable and dimmable light, as well as a focus ring that allows you to chose what your microscope is focusing on!
Battery last a fair length of time, charging is easy, would totally buy this again if I needed!
