The alcohol was fine. In fact, I grade the alcohol at 5 stars! I have been using Swan Alcohol, 32 ozs, for decades! But, your price is geometrically more money than my charges were before March 2020! THAT IS SO UNFAIR!!! I’M A SENIOR CITIZEN ON FIXED INCOME!!! MY SITUATION IS EXACERBATED BY THE FACT THAT MY EMPLOYER, STATE OF NJ, REDUCED MY COLA BENEFIT 5 YEARS AFTER I RETIRED! NJ GOVERNMENT PENSION IS NOT A HANDOUT! PUBLIC WORKERS AGREED TO LOWER PAYCHECKS IN LIEU OF PENSION DEPOSITS! WHILE VARIOUS NJ PUBLIC OFFICIAL(S) KNEW AS FAR BACK AS 2005! I got this alcohol to put in a misting diffuser gadget at the height of COVID. The mister turns the alcohol into an ultra fine mist that puffs out to disinfect your hands, glasses., phone, etc. it fills the bill and this amount lasts a long time for all your disinfectant/ first aid needs.

There’s only so much that a bottle of rubbing alcohol can vary by. But what I particularly liked about this one compared to others I’ve used is that it has a squirt top instead of an open hole. So much easier to control how much you use and where it goes. No need to just soak something with a big round spot. That’s particularly useful to me because I use it to clean glue and dirt off of small parts, not to sterilize an injection site. I can squirt it on the part first and then use a small brush after that, no need to try to wipe some of it out of a wetted paper towel and only then be able to scrub.

It’s rubbing alcohol, also known as isopropyl alcohol or isopropanol. 70% concentration in water. Intended for use as a disinfectant, for minor wounds and also for hard non-food-contact surfaces.
This stuff does a pretty good job as a first-aid component for mild wounds. But let me tell you it STINGS if you get it on a cut or other broken skin. Also avoid getting it in your eyes because you could go blind. And DO NOT DRINK IT. This is NOT the same chemical that is in beer, wine, and liquor – that is ethyl aclohol. Drinking this will NOT “disinfect” your insides against the COVID-19 virus, it will just make you very ill and you will need to call the poison control center. This is for TOPICAL USE or for WIPING SURFACES only.
For most first aid or wound care applications, I usually prefer to use hydrogen peroxide, iodine, or hypochloric acid (a relative of bleach) instead of alcohol because they don’t sting so much. But for cleaning hard surfaces like doorknobs, counter-tops, and mirrors the alcohol is much easier and more effective to use.

For disinfecting things, or for adding to too-dry disinfecting wipes. The wipes dry out if someone loses the lid, and a foil covering doesn’t inhibit evaporation very well.
If you read the CDC’s articles, you will be amazed at how much you are doing wrong.
For instance, disinfecting with Clorox diluted with water … doesn’t work unless water is 70 degrees.
And disinfecting wipes … one of them will cover an area up to 3 s.f. So…. not the entire counter or island.
I realize everyone isn’t as into disinfecting things. I have next to no immune system right now, so that is my focus. Of course, all along I’ve disinfected kitchens and bathrooms … but I was doing it wrong.
