    I love these watches.
Simple but do what they do well and the battery lasts incredibly long, amazing.
The slight facelift from my earlier version looks great.

Es el segundo reloj Timex que me compro. Despues de años y tras averiarse el que tenia, he comprado otra vez el mismo modelo. Sencillo en manejo y tiene lo que necesito principalmente: crono

I looked for ages all over the place for a watch that met all of my specific criteria. 1) Tells the time, date, and day of week 2) Has a stopwatch 3) Has a countdown timer 3) Is waterproof 4) Is not ugly or bulky 5) Is not expensive and 6) Does not have any extra or annoying features. The first two criteria are fairly standard, and finding a watch with the other criteria is easy. The hard part is finding one that matches all of them. I found so many watches with all the features except for a countdown timer, a couple with all of them without water resistance. Many of the Casios I looked at were either G-Shock (bulky and expensive) or had annoying “world clock” features that are ugly and can be confusing if you accidentally change the time zone. All of this to say that this watch has an amazing feature set that is somewhat difficult to find in other watches. Now that I have talked about features there is still the question of build quality and what it looks like in person. Starting with what it looks like I would point out that the black one is by far the best-looking one. The blacks and dark greys don’t clash at all like some other colors of watch do.The numbers on the face are nice and large, unlike many watches that cram the time into tiny displays or squished under some useless feature like analog LCDs or world clock. A vast majority of digital watches have branding and labeling and advertising on the bezel of the display. This watch is no exception, the IronMan logo clearly visible. What is different about this watch is that the labels kept with the aesthetic of the watch and the dark grey labeling does not stand out too much. It does say “10 lap timer” under the display, which is something that I could do without, but it isn’t abhorrent or anything like some watches are (I’m looking at you Casio). As far as build quality goes, it’s not quite as good as other watches I’ve had at this price range, but the features and looks easily make up for the slight lack in this area. To be specific. The plastic that is around the face of the watch feels a bit light, but it doesn’t feel too cheap or weak, just a little less solid and heavy than the Casios I’ve had at this price range. The band is a standard rubber band that many digital watches have. The band has a strange texture to it that makes it feel more like plastic in some places, but not enough to be uncomfortable. The band is also a little bit less flexible than the band of my last watch, but perhaps that will change over time. The clip that holds the band on is painted to look like a matte metal but is actually plastic. It contributes to the nice look of the watch but is slightly dissapointing. The clip isn’t too cheap feeling, but it’d be nice if it were metal.

Overall this watch has great features, nice design, and an okay build quality. Great for the price.

Own both Timex Ironman and G-Shock. I prefer Ironman for day-to-day wear. Alarm is louder, can set more than one and special event reminder. Its fairly rugged and for £35 does a good job.

The G-shock i tend to keep for travelling: multi time zones, 200m WR, and solar operated. So good for holidaying

Excelente reloj, el tamaño es perfecto para una persona con muñecas no muy gruesas. La combinación de color negro/gris lo hacen elegante y discreto. Totalmente recomendado.

I’ve had it for two days and compared it to my Casio Men’s DW5600E G-Shock repeatedly. I just like this one better and I’m shocked – no pun intended. Durability is the biggest question in my mind – so time will tell – but at least I can read the numbers on this easily and user interface is awesome – better than expected on a watch at this price.

Here’s what I really love about this watch:
    – 50% lighter than the g-shock
    – Sightly thinner – it’s close though
    – I can actually read the numbers – my eyes aren’t what they used to be and the Timex numbers are a good 50% larger than my g-shock.
    – Fantastic contrast of numbers against background: much better than my g-shocks – the background is whiter – so easier to read.
    – Smoother, sleeker design and a few mm thinner makes all the difference with my dress shirts – I think it’s the sleekness more than just being thinner. It doesn’t ‘catch’ on my shirt sleeves – which I find very annoying about my two g-shocks unfortunately.

    Additional Pros
    – Buttons are easier to work with than the G-shock. (could be a con though – we’ll see)
    – User interface feels more modern and intuitive.
    – Dual time zone and easy, intuitive switching is really nice
    – Band is thinner and seems a better fit for my thinner wrists
    – Band lock: I was annoyed at first like some else said. But, now I really like it. It locks in the band strap nicely so there’s no movement at all. If you’re someone who removes your watch a lot, you may be annoyed. If you don’t, you’ll probably love this.
    – Indiglo 8-hour night mode is pretty cool – jury is still out on this one – but I think I like it.
    – Very inexpensive – disposable in fact.

    Cons
    – Buttons are easy to press. It’s more of a ‘pro’ for me right now but I just bought this a few days ago and can see how it may become a ‘con’ like some other reviewers mentioned. Time will tell and I will definitely edit my review if this becomes an issue. At the moment I like how much easier they are to deal with compared to my G-shocks.
    – Durability: potential con – I couldn’t find any reviews addressing how long these last. This feels less substantial than your average g-shock watch. But, they’re super cheap so even a couple of years would be nice. But, the g-shocks last forever and even if you beat on them, they still look great. This one – I don’t know – I hope it proves to be indestructible like the g-shocks but it doesn’t feel as industrial strength. Time will tell. It’s so light, maybe it just feels less rugged comparatively but it will be just as good.

It’s a keeper for now – but if the watch face (acrylic?) ends up being anywhere near as rugged as the G-shocks – I’ll be a very happy camper.
