Weber SmokeFire EPX6 Wood Fired Pellet Grill Description

  • SmokeFire is the best pellet grill for searing, smoking, and everything in between with a competitive 200-600°F temperature range.
  • Weber Crafted Outdoor Kitchen Collection frame included; sear, roast, bake, steam, and even stir-fry food never thought possible in a grill by simply replacing the grate with a variety of custom-fit grillware (sold separately) to choose from.
  • Weber Connect smart technology is your secret ingredient to perfectly grilled food – receive real-time food temperature alerts, reminders, and flip & serve notifications at the grill or on your phone.
  • Built-in night time grill lighting illuminates the entire cooking grate for those late night smokes.
  • Top cooking grate creates a large, second level of grilling capacity.
  • If you’re craving even more of that unmistakable, wood fired taste, then add a boost of smoke to the recipe with Smoke Boost.
  • Flavorizer bars were designed for direct, more consistent heat, unlike traditional pellet grills that use a large diffuser plate that blocks the flame.
  • SmokeFire’s exclusive cleaning system directs ash and grease down into a removable drawer.
  • Specially-engineered auger and slanted hopper help prevent pellet jams, which are frequently experienced with pellet grills.

I’ll start by saying that I got this on sale and feel like the value of it from the sale is why I’m very satisfied with the product. The built in probes and WiFi are great, I can monitor a cook and change temp from anywhere. I have it dialed in now and feel comfortable with the predictability of a cook. It puts out a solid finished product!
However, starting out I had a pretty harsh learning curve, which is why I’m giving it 4 stars. I was initially concerned that my unit was broken. It wasn’t. It’s just temperamental. To start, you need to use the proprietary pellets, which are fine but limiting. So far other pellets have led to flameouts. Those flameouts can be scary. Had the smoker try really hard to reignite flameouts to the point where it lost control of the fire and ended up stoking 600 degree infernos when I had temp set at 225. This only happened when I was not using the proprietary pellets. If you use the Smokefire pellets everything works great! Also, the cooks turn out kind of dry if you don’t add a water reservoir.
Now that I’ve learned on it for a while, I’m happy with it. Just had to take a few lumps at first.

So far so good I have only used it 4 times since I got it, very consistent on the result. But time will tell my last grill was very reliable till it died down after 14 years of cooking and grilling

Purchased my new SmokeFire EPX6 grill in Sept-2022 and numerous internal parts are starting to fail due to significant rust. The grill is used/kept under a covered patio in central round and has been additionally protected with Weber’s Premium Grill Cover too, so I’m at a loss for what the cause was other than poor quality components being utilized. Not a happy camper and will be reaching out to Weber customer support for resolution.

great smoker/grill. So far all the cooking it performed were perfect. Few issues were mostly operator related. Temperature hold well. In my point of view performs better as a smoker than a grill, but that is me.
Assembly service from amazon was very convenient, and I would all heartedly recommend it

The media could not be loaded.

I’ve been wanting a larger pellet grill to replace my 20 inch trailer for sometime now. The idea of a connected grill with more than three times was intriguing and exciting. However, the overall fit and finish of this grill certainly lacking, but when you ruin four hours of my work….. the flail concern is legit. Flameout for no apparent reason, then the hopper spilled pellets outside the pot. That’s the extra fire you see.

Could that with the fact that I’ve reached out to Weber that my pot did not come with the Weber emblem installed in the pre drilled holes in the front, and the pellet hopper track screw is flimsy as it is, but also came with one of the 2 acres already stripped out, just a little disappointing.

This is an awesome grill. Upgraded from a small traeger. No regrets. It’s HUGE.
