This is a pretty nice enclosure except I thought the background would be made out of something a little sturdier than Styrofoam. It came intact and wrapped pretty nice. I like the fact that it opens from the front and the top. My pink toe tarantula fits nicely in it.

Perfect size for my pink toed tarantula. Came assembled. Great quality, plenty of ways to open it up.

I’ve been having a lot of disappointments with Zilla lately, their flat-packed micro-habitat of similar dimensions is made of acrylic that warps out of shape quickly and is unsuitable for a small tarantula, and I was hoping this would be more secure but there are sizable gaps along the side with the door the most egregious being the side of the the hinge having about 1/4” gap and the top and bottom having about 1/8”. Not suitable for tarantulas under a certain size.

This terrarium would be perfect for my pink toe tarantula, except it arrived and the bottom is broken. If I had to guess, it’s due to a loose plastic piece inside. I have a replacement ordered

I had been struggling to find a good terrarium for my Pink Toed Tarantula. I had him in the zoo med low profile den and he really hated it.
I wanted him to have space to grow but also read tarantula’s don’t need a lot of space. The 12 inch tall models just seemed so small though. I feel like this Zilla terrarium is a nice compromise.
I like the background that comes with it. It’s not attached so it would be easy to remove. The door is easy to open. It does have a really small gap between the glass panel. If you tried to feed a real small insect or something it might be able to fit through that gap but it would have to be pretty small.
I like the way the top opens it has a hinge so you can open it in two different areas. However it is pretty difficult to get the top pieces opened. I’m kind of scared it will break if I try to much.
I added a $6 faux plant and $8 cork bark log from Amazon and a $4 coconut hide from PetSmart and I think it turned out nicely.

I love the quality and the price

This is the perfect size terrarium for counter top spaces. The 12×12 ones were just way too big. I do wish the door was on the 10in side instead of the 8in side, but it’s not a big deal. I have a juvenile Pink toe tarantula in this and there’s more than enough room for him. Amazon was the only place I could even find this size terrarium. Side note: I’m surprised this thing arrived in one piece considering how it was packaged.

I bought one of these and when I got it the bottom was shattered. I contacted Josh’s Frogs and within a few days I had another one. Very good customer service experience.
