I use these for my ball python enclosures and they are by far the most accurate, reliable, combo metres out there in the market. The digital ones always break once they get wet but these analog ones could withstand moisture and dampness without affecting their functionality.

Great product…. Seems very well made. But when putting under the reptiles tank I suggest putting a thing rock above the pad on the glass ….otherwise it tends to get too hot. My snake moved away from it, until I put a rock over the hot spot and voila problem fixed…. But she still got enough warmth to suit her needs. I got this pad months ago… And it’s still working great.

Works as it should. Arrived 2 days after purchasing. Could stick better, but it’ll work just fine. It will be perfect for making sure my snails terrarium is warm and humid!

This is one of several thermometers I purchased to keep track of the temperature in my egg incubator. I really like this one because it also keeps track of the humidity. It worked well along with the other thermometers and once the eggs hatched I was able to then use it to keep track of the temperature and humidity in my baby bearded dragon enclosure. To maintain accuracy, I actually use several different thermometers in the incubator and vivarium to get an average, because you can never bee too careful. I also use an infrared point and read type thermometer. I may be overdoing it a bit, but I’ve found that no two thermometers ever read the same, so getting several and averaging it out seems to work well for me.

My favourite thing about this particular product is that it mounts with velcro to the glass of my beardie’s terrarium. The one I had before sat on the floor of the terrarium and so was always getting knocked over.

Decent devices for the price but a bit less precise than what I was expecting even for a device this cheap. Outside purchasing a NIST or similar verified humidity monitor or at least spending a good 50 or so USD (even then most of these are only within +/- 5%) you simply will not get consistent readings across devices. Maybe if you bought 20 of these one might be dead on. For how long it would remain that way is debatable. What I can say is that since these are analog they will effectively last forever. Electronic systems are nice but they require batteries and any electrical system in a humid environment will inevitably fail unless it is strictly designed to be in such an environment. Very few of these are.

They are accurate within my +/-5% expectations for this price range.

Attached is an image of the salt test after about 16 hours between two devices.

Several thermostats and thermometers with in 10 feet registered 66 degrees. I also migrated the devices between three environments and they both kept the same pattern. These are accurate and precise enough for temperature for anything but the most stringent of requirements.

Unfortunately, but largely expected, the hygrometers are not only not accurate but they are also not precise across devices. I expected a device like this to be within +/- 5% accuracy and technically they accomplish this. The real issue is the precision between devices. There is about an 8% difference between devices but both are within the 5% accuracy margin.

Are these good enough for your reptiles? Yes.
Are these good enough for your gun cabinet/safe? No. (See update below.)
Are these accurate and precise scientific instruments? NO!
Are these well with the expected range of a 5-10 dollar device? Yes for accuracy but no for precise across units. But they are good enough for probably 99% of situations.

    Update: Approximately 3 months later.

Apparently colder temperatures (55 in this case) make some of these not only no longer accurate for humidity but remain broken. I have both of those I tested in the same location. The difference is it reached about 55 degrees. One of them continues to work just as it did but unfortunately the other is now reading 73% humidity when the other is around 50(which has been confirmed to be within 5% accuracy). I am leaving this at 3 stars because it is unlikely using them for reptiles is an issue since its unlikely you would allow the area to get that cold. For other things such as storage those this are not reliable enough. Also changed gun storage to a no.

I just had not taken the time to put a thermometer or humidity gauge in my hermit crab tank. When this one arrived my husband commented on how light it was but couldn’t figure out how to mount it. Turned out the idea of peeling the paper off the back of the velcro was just too easy for him to understand! A very nice little device that is very easy to mount, light weight and seems to be accurate in both temperature and humidity. The only reason I gave it 4 stars rather than 5 is that I would have liked it to be bit bigger to allow for bigger numbers and ease of reading. I mounted it on the far end of a 10 gal tank and I need to squint a bit to see it.

This product arrived on time and in perfect condition. Is very easy to use. It has a sticking pad on the back, so you can attach and de-attach it multiple times without loss of stickyness if it is a right word 🙂

One thing I liked about it is that, this product is very accurate (one would expect it from a thermometer of course) but at the same time, it changes it’s reading very fast. You do not have to wait for 5-6 minutes to get an accurate reading, I tested it by first measuring temp/humdt. in the room and after in terrarium, it made an “update” in a matter of seconds. I use it with my Tarantula, Nhandu Chromatus and she feels very comfortable with it. It is lightweight and very easy to use. It measures temperature in Farenheit, this is important for European customers, I myself live in Europe but anyways I can use it well, because I know what temperature is required for my pets in both F and C. Would recommend to you.

I love that this is attached by a magnet. My first thermometer was a stick on that is constantly falling and tipping over. This one stays where I put it for a quick and easy read. After cleaning the cage and putting things back I found the foliage was now covering the thermometer / humidity gauge, it was so easy to just slide it up a little bit so we could easily see it. It holds strong but not too strong to move easily. The gauges are accurate and make it so easy to make sure my Water Dragon has the right amount of humidity and heat. I wish I had purchased one of these when I had my gecko which died due to too much humidity. This is a must have.

I installed this thermometer in my open-top tortoise table right on the wall of the tortoise’s hide. It really helps me keep tabs on how warm and humid it gets right down at their level. You can easily move it to a new spot every couple days and check throughout the week to help you identify hot spots or dry spots in your enclosures.

It’s a simple little reader and fairly accurate as far as I can tell. Definitely worth keeping one of these in each of your critter enclosures for easy readings and peace of mind.

This would also work great on/in flower pots to give you relative temps and humidity for your plants.

This analog dual thermometer and humidity gauge is perfect for our baby beardie. This is in a 20-gallon starter tank and we plan to move it to his 75 gallon enclosure by month’s end. Temps are accurate as I test the temperature with a heat gun. Humidity is sound at 40-45%. Great gauge for the price and aesthetically pleasing inside of the enclosure.
