Zymol Rouge Red Wax Z112

UPDATE: Added 10 month photo. After 10 months the rain is still beading, Smaller beads but the shine is still there like 10 months ago. I am located in Florida and the car is parked outside 24/7 in direct sunlight all day long.

UPDATE: After 6 months of never being washed and being in the Florida sun every day all day, the water is no longer beading. The polish was effective enough where washing was not necessary.

I have used Zymol for many years. This is the first time I had a red car ever.
The first time I used Zymol I waxed half my hood with Zymol and the other half with Mother’s Carnauba.
The difference was visible, I even had other pick which half looked better. The Zymol had depth to the shine.
Six months later the Zymol was still beading water.

I always applied Zymol with my bare hand using body heat to soften the wax.
The Rouge Red came with gloves and applicator pad, but I still went with the old fashioned hand method.
Some got under my fingernails. This stuff becomes like rock hard when it dries. I could not get it off my fingernail because it was too hard. I just let them grow out.

I applied this wax about one month ago and it still looks like the day I put it on.

I originally did my home work and spent a LOT of time doing the research. I even called Mother’s and talked to an engineer trying to find out their carnauba content. They would not tell me. I had heard that it was around 6%, no where near.

A superior product designed for ‘red’ paint. My 1988 vehicle looks like new, and I credit this product. It’s east to apply and buff of with minimal effort and magnificent results! It’s not cheap, but this container will last years with seasonal applications.

Not exactly what I expected. It does not fill in check marks in the 40 year old paint. The luster is not as good as the wax I usually use.

Easy to apply and wipe off. What a shine it’s amazing. All Zymol waxes are awesome. Just chose the right one for your color car. You will not be disappointed. Worth every penny

I’m a huge fan of Zymol, especially the light blue cleaner wax – for me there’s absolutely no better all-around wax. So my expectations are really high for this product, especially since I have a reddish-dyed car (the wax is blood red, goes on blood red and your buffing cloths are blood red).

While not as easy to apply as the Zymol cleaner wax – this product is thicker, really heavy paste – it goes on relatively easy (not quite as easy as the cleaner wax), buffs off easy (ditto) and gives an incredible deep shine, however, keep in mind that my car is basically red so this just adds a deeper hue of red in the thin wax layer (doesn’t change the paint or gel coat itself). Buffs to an incredible shine (maybe even more than the cleaner wax, which has always given me an incredible shine); I don’t yet know about durability or longevity because I just tried it for the first time, but if it is anything like the other Zymol waxes it has got to be really durable (6 months between waxing in Florida).

My ONLY complaint is WTF is with the can and lid that it comes in? I thought it was impossible in this modern age to have a container that is so…primitive? Complex? First I thought it was just me but I asked a buddy to try it (didn’t tell him about the problems I was having) – he used it and LOVED everything about it…”except for that damn lid”. LOL. C’mon Zymol – you’ve made the very best wax for decades, so where did you come up with this can + lid?? I can’t get it to close properly or stay on (I’m holding g it together now with a thick rubber band). But wow, if the only complaint I have is about the lid, while the product itself and the results are beyond compare, I guess I should be happy – that said, I did debit one star in hopes Zymol comes up with a better container.
