ASUS ROG Strix Scope NX TKL Keyboard Description
- READY FOR ACTION, COMPACTLY CRAFTED – The ROG Strix Scope NX TKL Moonlight White is a compact, tenkeyless mechanical keyboard, featuring Xccurate Design – an extra-wide Ctrl key that’s easier to feel and find in a frenzied FPS session.
- TKL FORM FACTOR FOR FPS – A high-performance mechanical gaming keyboard with a small footprint, freeing up space on your worktop for broader mouse movements – perfect for lower-sensitivity settings that slow the reticle for leveled-up aiming accuracy. The keyboard is topped with an aluminum faceplate for everyday resilience and it’s finished with a striking slash aesthetic to add a touch of style.
- ROG NX MECHANICAL SWITCH – Exclusive ROG NX mechanical switches offer fast actuation and specially tuned force curves for great keystroke feel & feedback. ROG NX Brown mechanical switches provide a 1.8 mm actuation point for fast input. An initial actuation of 40 gram-force (gf) helps prevent accidental keystrokes, and it extends to 55 gf for perfect rebound feedback. As a result, keystrokes are instantaneous and have a smooth and linear feel.
- DYNAMIC RGB LIGHTING – Enjoy vibrant RGB illumination with the ROG Strix Scope NX TKL Moonlight White. Featuring individually illuminated keys, lock indictors and ROG logo, plus an arresting RGB underglow effect that extends the lighting beyond the keyboard. Powered by Aura Sync, the entire color spectrum and a range of dynamic lighting effects at your command is uniquely yours.
- MINIMALIST LOOK, MAXIMUM IMPACT – The new Moonlight White product series offers a range of new devices with a clean aesthetic. Arm yourself with the Moonlight White editions of the ROG Strix Scope NX TKL keyboard, Strix Impact II optical-sensor mouse, Strix Go Core headset, Cetra II Core in-ear headphones, and the Zephyrus G14 and G15 gaming laptops.

I recently got the ASUS ROG Strix Scope NX TKL Moonlight White Wired Mechanical RGB Gaming Keyboard, and it’s been a fantastic addition to my gaming setup.
First things first, the keyboard looks really cool. The moonlight white color is stylish and stands out on my desk. It’s not a full-size keyboard, which means it’s a bit smaller, making it easier to move around and freeing up space on my desk.
The mechanical keys feel great when I’m typing or gaming. They’re super responsive, and the tactile feedback is satisfying. It’s nice to have a keyboard that feels sturdy and well-made.
The RGB lighting is a big highlight for me. The colors are vibrant and customizable, so I can make it match my mood or the game I’m playing. It adds a cool vibe to my gaming station.
The keyboard has extra shortcut keys and a volume wheel, which I find really handy. It makes it easy to control things without having to leave the game or use other buttons.
The only thing that could be better is the price—it’s a bit on the higher side. But considering the quality and features, I think it’s worth the investment if you’re serious about gaming.
In conclusion, the ASUS ROG Strix Scope NX TKL Moonlight White Keyboard is awesome for gaming. It looks great, feels solid, and the customizable RGB lighting adds a fun touch. If you’re willing to spend a bit more for a top-notch gaming keyboard, I’d definitely recommend giving this one a try.

Great feel and sound. The lights are very unique and there are a lot of different styles of lighting. The keys feel smooth and the click is so satisfying, would def recommend this mid ranged keyboard!

I have to say, from the packaging to the build quality, this is one beauty of a keyboard. The aluminum polished frame. The hefty keys that are clearly labeled. Everything oozes quality. This is also my first tenkeyless keyboard that I’ve purchased and I went with tactile brown. Loving everything about the way they feel thus far.
Now for everything so amazing, there has to be a bad right? Well, of course, you have to deal with the atrocious Armory Crate software. It didn’t even detect the keyboard on my first boot. On my second boot it did but the lighting options are so damn limited unless you install the Aura Creator.
I’ve attached a photo so you can see the lighting components available. Aside from the individual keys, you have an illuminated bar underneath as well as the ROG Strix logo in the upper right corner. HOW HARD WOULD IT BE TO JUST ALLOW US TO TWEAK ALL 3 COMPONENTS???!!! No. Instead you’re stuck with 1 full static color across the board, or double with some effects. If you want to get more customized, you need the overly advanced Aura Creator installed.
Listen, I used to hate iCue from Corsair, but they’ve worked the heck on it and it’s a lot easier to manage nowadays. I sure as heck hope Asus can do the same because right now, Armory Crate is a joke. It makes some of the simplest tasks difficult. Oh that and their overall software sucks because my Asus Gladius II mouse lost functions to its forward/back/middle click due to their firmware update. That’s another complaint for another day.
Let’s sum it. Asus, great hardware, horrible software.

Reason for Purchase:
I had the wireless Logitech G613 keyboard and had no issues with the hardware or software. I just needed something smaller for my home desk. I have a black desk and wanted a white keyboard to go with my white PC case.
Initial Thoughts:
I was hesitant to lose the Lightspeed connection, but the USB-C cable included with this TKL keyboard is attractive, long, and easy to interconnect to the back of the device. The keyboard is very good looking too and was a big reason for taking the chance with it.
Hardware:
The keyboard is right-sized for my need and has pleasant feel and sound to it. This is my first entry into mechanical keyboards, so I cannot compare it to others. The color choices and patterns are wonderful! The “Fn + arrow key” hotkeys for switching colors and patterns were crucial to my 5 star placement.
Software:
I had seen another review commenting on the poor experience with the software in managing this keyboard. I have my own experiences with the Armoury Crate software with my Rog Hero motherboard and Ryujin cooler. Those experiences are usually poor, and in regards to the keyboard, they did not get any better. I cannot manage the keyboard with the software and refuse to troubleshoot that software any further.
Final Thoughts:
Buy it, skip the Armoury Crate configuration altogether!

I like this keyboard because it got arrows keys and no keypad, small footprint. Nice responsive keys for my games. High quality build with aluminium case.
The only downside is the software ARMOURY CRATE to control the RGB, taking a lot of HD and memory space, it’s nut. So I uninstall it and I’m using the keyboard to change the RGB, less choice of course but no software bloat.

Keyboard was in very good shape and functioned properly. I bought this seller refurbished. It did not come with the wrist rest which is in the description for the new product, but seller’s description didn’t mention not including the wrist rest either. So, that’s why this review is 4/5 stars. It was still a good deal as compared to the retail price.

Amazon Customer –
It’s a pretty nice looking keyboard and it works fine. It’s definitely a space saver as it doesn’t have the number pad. Highly recommend for set ups that have a black/gray/white theme

Very nice keyboard. Not thrilled that just days after buying it the price dropped by more than $50. It’s now at a price where it’s reasonable and justifiable. Keys are very bright. Love the light strip at the front (too bad it’s covered by and rest). Hand rest is comfy/no slip. Only real complaint is side by side normal and shift characters on top row (ex. 5%. 6^ 7&), and the fact that it hates my usb switch box even though it’s powered and usb 3.
For anyone comparing…
NX TKL: bright, uniform, some key caps nicer (like mute), color strip at the front. Nice key layout for the most part. I noticed most sellers and even asus tend to show uk key layout and it’s not great. This layout is! Not too noisy but clicky.
RX TKL: very very different key feel, firm, weird but good. No color strip at the front, normal / shift keys are below / above but shift chars don’t light. I like the key caps better on NX (pgup, pgdn, mute icon). Color’s not as bright on RX although you’d think it should be brighter.
Both great keyboards. But using RX for wireless/bt features.

I got this keyboard to free up desk space without compromising gaming performance and I couldn’t be happier the build quality is 10/10 2 tone brushed metal base with under glow, keys are smooth and quiet (depending on what switches you get) and the enlarged left control is fantastic but be careful when removing the longer key caps they have a hinge holding them in place so don’t use much force And heres a trick that I think is only available on this keyboard if you alt tab out of you game a lot like me you and set up a profile linked to the game you play and disable alt tab but you wont lose this functionality due to the stealth key so no more miss clicks losing you fights. And the lighting is bright and has infinite possibilities and is completely customizable but I doubt anyone uses this feature as the default breathing white color scheme is amazing and really brings the theme together
