2017 I7 27” iMac
Regardless of many negative opinions, following the instructions will enable a solid fit. Connectivity and lanes of connected devices are served with full speeds as stated by the seller.
Most happy!

Apple has always hampered the iMac with putting all of the connections on the back of the machine. If you are doing a lot of Film Development, you have difficulty and hassle plugging cords in and out. And the insertion of SSD cards are an even worse problem.
This resolves it. But. If you need to have power on the item you insert, don’t think it will be enough without the power supply.

Klasse jederzeit wieder, klare Kaufempfehlung

This is exactly as described. It works wonderfully, adds USB ports to where they can easily be reached and SD cards too!! The port is a fantastic add on. If you have an iMac it is worth the bucks for sure. Works perfectly!!

Total junk. Audio jack never worked. SD card reader quit working right away. Regrettable purchase unfortunately I was out of my return window so it went in the trash.

The concept and execution is excellent with one exception.
Getting access from the front to various slots is something that is really needed and has to be one of the major design flaws of the Apple iMac. Apple seems to be stuck on modernistic design without consideration of utility. The Sabrent corrects Apple’s deliberate intransigence!
However, my Sabrent hub has a problem accepting microSD chips. The microSD slot does not properly guide the insertion. There is so much play that my chip went all the way inside the hub. The guide rails or grooves were maladjusted and the chip fell off and was free to rattle around the entire hub. I had to detach the hub and pry off the plastic backing to retrieve the MicroSD chip. The plastic backing is now taped back in place. However, using a microSD adapter I still could read the card via the larger slot.

I also previously had purchased the four usb iMac hub.
Note: I do read instructions, I find that most of the bad reviews are because people don’t, photos show the four usb unit plugged into the wrong input on the back of the iMac.
However in their instructions booklet for this unit they show the hub being plugged into the thunder port closest to the USB ports. It will never snap into the vents using that port, the one next to the Ethernet port works perfect. Reason the vents have supports and if you try to install using your diagram the tabs on the right looking at the unit from the back land right on top of one of these supports. Moving it to the second thunder slot works perfect.
Most people would never figure this out for them selves which is obvious by the posts, and returned items. And most do not understand that almost any hub that will need to use any external device will need the supplemental power supply. Your original four usb hub did not come with a power supply, and instructions did not explain it well. Don’t assume that everyone knows. And the company I purchased the first unit from did not sell your external power supply.
The usb-c input they say in their instructions does not support the power delivery charging function. A better way of saying it would be. “The usb-c port is for input only and does not support charging external devices” now that should be understandable by almost everyone.

It works but it took me quite a while to get it to snugly fit. I thought at one stage I had ordered the wrong product for my iMac, but no it is the correct one and I have it installed. And it works! No more messing at the back of the iMac with USB connections.

It is a nice addition to the iMac but living in Europe and receiving a US-Powerplug is an almost a dealbreaker at a price of €89,99.
I rechecked the advertisent on Amazon, but no word about having an US Powercord only reading about a 110~230v poweradapter, but that is standard everywhere…
For this price it should be possible to receive with the correct powersupply! Sabrent fix this…
