The only complaint that I have for this printer (other than the painful wireless setup) is that it should have came with a USB-B cable to make the setup easier. If I had to rate it based on the setup alone, I would give it a single star because it took literally like 2 hours to set up. I should have been able to connect to and configure from a computer straight out of the box. Other than that, the printer seems pretty good. Once it was set up, I was able to print pictures from my phone easily and it worked great for that. Print speed was good, as fast as you would expect for pictures. It has a compact size which fits nicely on my desk. Cannon is known for great products and I would certainly recommend this printer to anyone looking for a compact photo printer.

You need to purchase a subscription and download an app to scan. Prints great and refill cartridges are inexpensive.

I have used the Canon Pixma printers for over 6+ years and they haven’t let me down. This one was no exception, I had it setup in a few minutes and it was ready to print. It does need to add the Canon print utilities, but I already had these and just needed to update, (for 1st install, the SW will take a little longer to install). This printer is wifi ready and again was easy to connect the wifi to my network. The colors of the printer are bright and very legible. This is a great price for a simple printer and the replacement ink is cheaper than others.

I had a Canon PIXMA MX922 printer/copier all in one wireless for over ten years. It finally gave out, and I was appalled at the bad reviews for every printer I looked at on Amazon, that was under $100. I kept coming back and searching every few weeks.

Then THIS printer became available, and after watching a review with a video, and reading reviews, I decided to order it. I don’t need a copier or anything fancy, just a printer. If I need a copy of anything, I just scan it with an app on my phone and then print it.

This printer is perfect for me. Simple, lightweight, and only used two cartridges. Excellent print quality, and I love that it isn’t gigantic. My old Canon was a heavy beast, but it did last for over a decade. Maybe Canon got this one right, since reviews for their other models are not very good.

I wanted a home photo printer for a reasonable price. I like to make collages of trips and this is exactly what I needed. My bit requirement was that it NOT be locked in for ink so I decided to give this a try. I am really happy with it. It’s small, prints just fine, and has some little touches that make it nice like the grids and being able to send pics directly from my phone without going through my computer. It wasn’t super hard to set up. I have a B&W laser printer for documents- this is for fun projects. I’m happy to be able to get creative when the mood strikes.

I’ve happily used a high-end Canon color multifunction printer at work for years and am also happy with my Canon color multifunction printer in my home office, so I decided on this low-end Canon Pixma color inkjet printer as a replacement for my years-old HP inkjet. It prints fine, but I’m not used to the “low-endedness”: First, there’s no display except for a few lights next to the buttons. I didn’t realize how much I depend on a printer display, even a small one, till now, especially during setup, but the online documentation is good (you also get some printed documentation which though good I didn’t find sufficient), and I was able to connect the printer to my home router via WPS. (There’s also a Wi-Fi Direct option, but with that I wouldn’t be able to print from devices on our home network.) Once the printer is connected, you can also browse to the printer’s embedded web server to view some status info such as estimated cartridge levels, or log into the EWS to view and change more info (such as network settings, quiet mode, and cloud print registration). EWS response is slow but reliable. I expected only 1-sided printing, no copy, scan, or fax, and that’s what I have–except you can do manual 2-sided printing (i.e. reinsert paper after 1 side is done) and app-based copying (e.g. take a picture of your originals from Canon app and send it to printer from there). I also knew it takes only two cartridges (1 black, 1 tri-color–different sizes are available), so when you run out of any of the three colors, you need to replace the whole cartridge. Of course Canon recommends their own cartridges, but 3rd-party cartridges are also widely available (at about half the price). But even with 3rd-party cartridges, the cost per page of printing on the TS302a is high. One big plus for our family is that the printer takes and works well with photo paper; don’t try that on your laser printer. Unit carries a 1-year warranty, and I’ve found Canon tech support competent. I award 4 stars since it delivers within its class and specs.
