I wanted to leave a review since I had read reviews of this fan before I made my purchase and wanted to share my experience with it after using it for two weeks. It arrived in the Dreo box with full description so if you live in an area with a lot of porch pirates you may want to make sure you’re home when it’s delivered. It was easy to assemble. My old eyes didn’t line up the slots from the base to the fan but it wasn’t difficult to move it around until it clicked. It is a little wobbly with an empty tank and even when the water tank is full it does wobble a little, but if there is no chance of people running into it then it isn’t a big deal. I think you would have to hit it kind of hard to make it tip over. There was a plastic/electrical smell like you get with many electronics but after the first week that pretty much went away. I am a light sleeper so the noise level was a concern for me. It is louder than a regular fan of the same make and I think that is due to the evaporation method it uses. I sleep with it on level 1 and it isn’t too bad but I don’t think I’d sleep well on the max level. The remote functions well and also works on my Rowenta fan, interestingly enough. I have used both regular ice and the cold packs that came with the fan with water and I think the water and ice works a little better for cooling. With me keeping fresh ice in it and after 4 or more hours I have brought the temperature down just over 4 degrees. I can see if you lived in a humid area this fan may not work as well. It is bigger than it appears in the picture but not too huge. The instructions say that you can unclip the pump from the reservoir and fill it at the sink, which I tried, but there is no way to clip the pump back in without reaching you hand through the water and getting wet. I just fill a pitcher with water and ice and fill the tank with that. Overall it is a good product and works as decribed.

I have a small covered patio that faces the hot afternoon sun for 3 hours, so I wanted to get something to make the porch usable during sunny days. I have floor to ceiling sheer curtains to take the edge off the sun, but it blocks whatever breeze there might be, so I wanted something to circulate air and maybe a little extra. I tested this fan out today (86 degrees and sunny) and am pretty satisfied with the results. You do need to be sitting right in front of it in order to feel any kind of benefit in the direct sun, even with the reservoir topped up and icy, but this isn’t too surprising. It still offers cooler air than a traditional fan, and it makes the porch at least more usable. I am enjoying it now in the shadier part of the day (84 and no sun), and it makes the porch really pleasant rather than just tolerable, so I got my money’s worth. I don’t think I accomplished my goal of having a usable porch in the direct sun (it’ll get well into the 90s here soon, so if it was tolerable at 86, it’ll be uncomfortable at 90), but again, it does make the porch much nicer in the shade and tolerable in the sun if you’re sitting right next to it. I’d say keep expectations low: remember it isn’t an AC. It’s not going to cool a big space. Get it to take the edge off, but not much more. Cool idea and overall I’m happy.

Impressive product backed by exceptional service. This air cooler performs brilliantly, keeping my space comfortably cool and energy-efficient. A year after purchase, when the water pump malfunctioned, the company’s response was outstanding. Tracy from customer care guided me through the entire process, resulting in a full unit replacement. The cooler’s effectiveness, combined with the company’s commitment to customer satisfaction, makes this a top-notch choice. Highly recommended for both product quality and stellar after-sales support.
