Very impressed with this air purifier. It comes with a lot of options based on your needs (quiet clean —> turbo) and has a very good VOC sensor that kicked on as soon as it sensed my hair spray. The mobile app is also helpful as I can set it as needed (within bluetooth range) and keeps you updated on filter life. Double thumbs up on this.

This is so great! I had a weird odor in my new apartment’s front room and the bedroom smelled musty. I put this in the front room during the day, set it on a schedule via the app, and when I get home that odor’s gone. At night, I move the purifier to the bedroom at night, and when I wake up I can actually breathe. I didn’t realize the musty smell was just that many allergens in the air that made it hard to breathe in the morning.

    PROS
    * This device completely cleaned the air in my apartment during the first use! I was expecting it to take a couple of days, but I set it up, went to dinner, and when I came back my apartment smelled like a different place.
    * It’s not whisper-quiet, but it’s just white noise. On the lowest setting you can hardly hear it. I can easily talk on the phone right next to the unit.
    * It’s easy to set up. The filters are easy to remove and replace.
    * The Bluetooth is great. I’m not lazy, but when I’m watching TV, to be able to pick up my phone and turn the device on or off is luxury.

    CONS
The only con is with the app. When you turn the device off by the power button on top of the unit, or by unplugging the unit when it’s off via the app, the schedule is canceled. So if you want to cancel the device before the end of the scheduled time, you must do it through the app. That’s a software feature that can be added later, though.

I’ve been telling everyone how great this is. Now I’m going to get a smaller one for the bedroom so I don’t have to keep moving it, but I’m sticking with Honeywell.

This really is a very nice air purifier. The higher than usual price put me off at first, but since I have family members who suffer from allergies to ragweed and certain pollens, I decided to pull the plug anyway. I was particularly attracted to the size factor (slim for a 2 HEPA filter model) and the variety of options for controlling it.

I’ve been using it for about a week now and it has made a difference in the air quality inside my home. I’m seeing fewer sniffles and red eyes, so it appears to have been a good investment. What I like most is the ways that I can control it. Besides manual controls, I can set a schedule for it to follow, or have it come on when I arrive home via a link to my bluetooth phone, or have it adjust itself based on the VOC inside the home; or the projected allergens in my zip code on any given day. I’ve finally settled on having it follow a schedule and base its operating speed on the allergen projections for the day. It is so effective that most of the time, it runs on the lowest speed, which is super quiet. Unless I am looking directly at it and see the blue lights on the control panel, I am not even aware that it is on.

I like this enough that I am thinking of getting a second one for the bedroom.

Brand new out if the box: doesn’t work. fan sounds like it has marbles in it once it did start, NOISY ! ! ! ! won’t stay running

I have an earlier model about 8 years old that has worked fine. This new one is terrible

I bought three of these, two were defective, the third (in a different shipment and different packaging) works fine.

This is an awesome air cleaner, especially for a bedroom. On low, it is very quiet. The smartphone app is moderately useful. You can only have one schedule active at a time, which means you set a start time, stop time, fan speed, display light brightness, and the days of the week you want it to run. You cannot vary any of the parameters you select within the schedule, nor can you have more than one schedule active at a time. This means you cannot set it to run on low at night, and then program it to run at a higher speed during the day. You would have to override one of the schedules to change the fan speed. This is a minor issue. The app works great on an iPhone 5S. I checked power consumption with a kill-a-watt meter. On low, 27 watts. On medium, 45 watts. On high (allergen), 72 watts. I forgot what turbo was, but I think it was around 100 watts. The high/allergen setting is not too loud. Low is very quiet (almost inaudible). Medium is still pretty quiet, and some may be able to sleep at that level. Turbo sounds like a small jet engine, although it is tolerable. The unit draws air in the front, and out the top. Therefore, you can place it against a wall. Overall, I give the unit 5 stars, and the Bluetooth app 4 stars. They need to fix the scheduling issue, and also make the proximity setting more customizable (when out of range of your phone, you can opt to have the unit shut off). I want the opposite. If I am out of range, I want to bump up the fan speed, and then have it drop to a lower speed when I return.

The only problem I have had is when I purchased a second one, the China man that assembled it plugged in the control board backwards, and now the lowest speed is turbo on the control panel and app, and the highest speed on the control panel is the lowest actual fan speed. I was going to take it apart to flip it around, but they put two security screws in the housing so you need a special tool to take it apart

I also own the larger HPA300 air cleaner. This one overall is a bit quieter, a bit shorter, and only takes 2 of the Hepa filters, vs the 3 the larger unit takes.
