The card works as advertised, good price and is exactly what you see, good small card. my only complaint is the software is awkward and took a few mins to set up properly (hardly any explanations of what things are or how to set it up properly & you if you dont have a disk drive you gotta go to some weird website in amazons descriptions to download the drivers and its a .rar file so have winrar ready!), for some reason the speakers are backwards, software shows where left and right speakers are suppose to be but when playing sound its reversed, i just swapped the cables on the back of my amp and its fine but weird. still recommend for anyone that doesnt want to spend $40-60 on one just know you might need to tinker with it a bit. overall works and plays 5.1! found out chrome and firefox doesnt support 5.1or 4k videos tho as a FYI so if you test it use microsoft edge….sigh…. or download thx videos and sounds to test it out. really hate us edge….:'( just a friendly tech giving advise to anyone that might not know some of these things when looking for this. Best of luck!!!

Ok, I will try to make this short LOL. AS other reviewers have stated this thing is a PITA to install on w10 64. However, I am a nerd and very versed. That said I did get it to install and it works. Now, I bought this card for one reason, here is why, NOTE I have an SFF Dell ergo 2 open slots, one is used by my video card the other WAS used by my USB 3.0 which I sacrificed to put this card in. I’ll live. Back to why I needed a card was to have a line in to go from my fire radio to my blu-tooth earpiece. Hence, I have headphone out from radio to line in on the card, funny it pipes the audio to my blu-tooth sound bar just fine, just not my ear piece. YES it is all set up the sound bar works fine via blu-tooth from my computer. Yes, I changed output to my ear piece no effect. So I am wondering if any nerds out there have an idea. NO I do not have the Cmedia-Panel I’ll see if I can find one though and update, other wise the card works fine. Again, the only reason I bought it was for the above my onboard audio works fine for my audio purposes, just no line in. As a test I did hard wire my headphones to audio out on the card and that worked just fine ?????? weird.

I bought the Pardarsey PCIe sound card 5.1 because the onboard soundchip of the motherbord does not work with windows 11. The card is easy to pin on the motherboard (PCIe). At this moment the cd-player was not connected. Windows 11 does not find the drivers. “If you want to download online drive cause don’t have a CD driver. Please click this this link:”, but there is no link… After a half hour I have found a driver. After little weeks I have connected the cd-player. You see immediately the ranking win 7, win 8, win 10… The installation of the software is easy. These drivers are better. Windows 11 gives the version 6.12.8.1737 (year 2009). The function “search automatically for drivers” has updated the drivers to 8.08.1743 (sept 2012). The card works very well with 2 speaker. The price is very well.

So far the installation on my new PC with Windows 11 Pro was flawless, the fitment was perfect, however I still had to manually load the proper Driver of the device for Windows 11 Pro to run it. The process was very simple due to the provided Mini CD containing the Driver. So far, the Sound quality is good enough for my usage, I am currently using the Analog Port, however I will test the HD Digital Port for functionality as well. So, we’ll see how it goes for a couple weeks, but so far so good….

beware the cmedia site notes as follows …
*Please be noted:
For CMI873x or CMI876x series, C-Media no longer support Win10 driver.
For CMI878x, CM88xx, or USB Audio series, please contact your product vendor to get customized Win10 driver.
However, if your product didn’t apply customized driver when you purchased, you can then just use Win10 in box standard driver.

this audio card falls in that group of those NOT supported any longer for win10, cd in package the software setup will not recognize the audio card installed on system had to go to the link in seller info download and install from there so basically if i see this correct if anything changes in win10 that is doesnt see card anymore i would be worried that it will be wasted money because this fall in that group no longer supported for win10 so looks like they are dumping then on market to recover cost
seems a lot of items of late in amazon of questionable use this looks like a m dump of obsolete items because it doesnt recognize via the disk or from the cmedia site itself there are NO win10 drivers listed or shown for down load so only one that worked was the one linked on the selers front page which i question validity of security as it set off malware alarms

This card brought the audio back to life my 2013 Dell desktop. The audio device on my motherboard was dead. If you are running a basically stock PC, this card will do the trick to restore your audio! Works very well, as advertised. The driver CD isn’t very intuitive, you have to manually search the files for the drivers for your particular OS. Not hard for one who is computer savvy. Recommended.

Plugged it in and my PC would go into a boot loop. Took it out and tried to load the Win 10 drivers on the little CD but the setup just froze up and had to kill it through the task manager. Copied/pasted the Win 10 driver folder to the desktop but it still froze up. Not worth the time and effort. Returning.
