Received with a dented hood/lid, a missing a screw for the flattop, and the parts inside the box were disheveled from apparently violent transportation.
Operation and assembly are easy enough. Quality is worth the price.

I shopped around and settled on this grill. I wanted something small for usual meals and something that could be stored and taken a long when we needed it. I noticed some brands had issues with the built in regulator. I avoided those and I also wanted something light. The rolling cart is great but if you’re having to lift it up on a deck or in the back of the truck it needs to be light. The Blackstone was over 80lbs! This one weighs at 58. A great buy.

This was wonderful..size is great for traveling with a travel trailer and was big enough to cooked 10-12 burgers at a time with no issues
I did season the griddle before use..and did see
That there was a definite hot spot for the griddle..but that was due to the way the heat is set up under the griddle, but I could cook easier when knowing where we could put things to cook faster
Nothing stuck and it was so easy to clean off by adding just water!

I think it is well built and went together easily. No complaints. I’ve used it about 30 times and love it. The only thing I’ve noticed is that since it has 2 burners operating from a single control, making the burner on the right, which is closest to the gas source, operate a little hotter than the one on the left, which actually comes in handy. I use a handheld infrared thermometer to sense the griddle temperature which I think an a very necessary accessory to have as meat needs about 400F and eggs around 300F. The control is very smooth and it can operate down to very low setting. The igniter works flawlessly. I like the front grease tray. I line it with tin foil that makes clean-up a snap. It’s a great griddle if you are only cooking for a few people. We would recommend it.

What a joke! First of all, I purchased this because it claims to have one-handed leveling capabilities. Outright lie. I even called Charbroil to ask them how I am supposed to level it as I could not find anything on it that would allow for that. The lady helping me barely spoke english, put me on numerous 5+ minute long holds, and then finally came back and tells me in order for her to read the product manual (like I hadn’t done that already!) she would need my first name, last name, address, etc. Told her forget it I will return and purchase a quality Blackstone instead.
Additional cons:
-The user manual has zero directions on how to assemble, not that it was difficult but…
-The quality feels SUPER cheap. The griddle top is welded together but what I assume to be a blind child, the base is incredibly thin metal, the gas pipe rattles left/right and in/out.
-Massive gap between the griddle top grease drain and where the grease catch is. To the point where I would consider this a safety issue as there is nothing stopping the grease from splashing into the flames.
PLEASE I BEG YOU DO NOT BUY THIS! I do not care what other brand you purchase, but avoid the hassle and stay safe! I will be purchasing a tabletop Blackstone only because I have a standalone Blackstone already and it has treated me very well. I also hear great things about Camp Chef.

So far I’m enjoying this griddle – I don’t have much experience with gas griddles, but have used a griddle plate on my gas grill, and was ready to make the leap to a stand alone griddle. This unit runs on a 1 pound gas canister but I picked up a converter hose so I can run it off a regular 20 pound tank.
This griddle does require a little setup – I had to give the griddle plate a good cleaning to get the metallic dust off it (and that took *forever*), then I had to season it. I used a little too much oil so created a bigger mess to clean up, and part of it was due to this griddle getting really hot, really fast. Even on the lowest heat setting you can’t leave food unattended for any amount of time (more on that in a second).
Other than the cleaning, setup was simple and took about 5 minutes. I use mine on a grill cart on the deck, and hooking up the 20 pound tank with the hose converter was a cinch. Each burner lights from the knob that controls the burner, so no separate starter button is needed – mine lit right up with no issues.
Cooking was easy – I did a little research since I’m fairly new to using a griddle and got an idea of some do’s and don’ts. My first test was smash burgers – I used a burger press and a spatula to see which I liked better and actually felt like the spatula worked better. I think this is primarily because, even with the temperature control on the lowest setting, the 1/3 pound burger cooked FAST. It took about 3-4 minutes to cook each burger which is a third of the time on my gas grill.
Cleaning was a bit of a pain – mostly because I put too much oil on the plate initially, so I can’t blame that on the product. I’m going to give it a good cleaning with some griddle cleaner and consider it a lesson learned. Overall, this Charbroil griddle is a decent addition to my outdoor kitchen. At $131 (as of the time of this review), it’s slightly cheaper than the comparable Blackstone 22″ model. I can’t make an apples to apples comparison of the two though because I’ve not used a Blackstone (I just know it’s the big name brand in the griddle market) so cannot say whether this one is “better” than any others.
