Aootek Solar Motion Sensor Lights 120 LEDs (4 Pack)

I needed backyard lights at night when I take out the trash, go out walking & come back through the backyard at night. I have no lights on the side of the house or the backyard. I had several solar lights for the ground, but they were cheap, spiders would web them, & the batteries wouldn’t last because of the weather. The lights weren’t bright, either.

So I went on YouTube & watched videos where people used Solar Motion lights that turned on when it detected motion. I searched on Amazon & found these. The seller shipped it out immediately. I had a handy man install them on the side of the house & backyard.

The Motion Solar Lights works in three ways. Always lights on until the battery is depleted, dim but will turn bright when motion is detected, or no lights until motion is detected. I have it set to no lights until motion is detected. Dim until motion is detected will remain on until the battery is depleted. No lights until motion is detected will remain for 15 seconds unless you’re constantly moving around in the motion sensor’s range.

The motion lights angle is great. It covers a wide area when it detects you, people, and animals. When it gets windy, the plants tend to wave the branches in front of the motion lights, which turns on immediately. It gives plenty of light.

Since I have it set as motion is detected, the batteries should last a long time. Also, the batteries are deep inside the device which should provide protection from water, freezing & extreme heat.

So far, the spiders haven’t been able to web the solar motion devices on the walls, unlike the ones I used to have on the ground.

Many people leave their backyard lights on. Very annoying, especially if you happen to have your room in the upper part of the house & you’re trying to sleep. Crazy people complain about their electricity bills. My neighbors should buy these or buy motion solar lights with video cameras instead of leaving their lights on all the time.

In the end, after buying these, I’ll be buying more from this company for the front part of the house. These work great & I hope they’ll last a long time.

Our lights, installed last fall, are all performing well over 6 months later. We shared some of these lights with relatives in the North; they also report that their lights are going strong after a rough winter. Here in our urban, sometimes crime-troubled setting, we like the fact that our lights shine extra bright when motion (possible thieves…) is detected. Our relatives use their lights on their chicken yard; those lights shine bright when a different type of intruder comes by.
