The material is quite cheap. The assembled product is pretty flimsy/wobbly. There are a few dings and scratches on it already. They sent 4 of the same shelf (there should be two with the holes drilled on one side, two on the other) we ended up assembling it as is, and two of the vertical boards are loose and will need to be secured. It has one redeeming quality. It actually looks great. We have a retro wood aesthetic going on in our home, and it fits perfectly. We have it set up in our room, and we’re tempted to buy another one for our living space. lol

I purchased the 5 shelf corner bookcase. I really like it! The color and finish was better than I was expecting. It is completely the size and dimensions as advertised. It fits the corner of my study perfectly! As with any tall narrow shelving unit, it is a little wobbly, but you can adjust the leveling with the screw on feet. It also comes with 4 different predrilled holes on the top so you can anchor it to the wall, which anyone with cats and kids would definitely do! All hardware was correctly provided and no pieces were cracked or scratched. It did take a minute to figure out how to put it together, but it didn’t take that long and you just need to take your time to understand how the pieces all fit together.

Like: when assembled and has items placed on it, it looks good. Inexpensive, but you are getting what you pay for. Like the unique style of bookcase, there doesn’t seem to be others like it. Wayfair has what appears to be exact same one under a different name. Clear enough assembly directions.
Disliked: Some difficulties with assembly…dowels not uniform in size…a bit frustrating. Cheap wood, splits easily, scratches easy. Arrived with scratches & splits in materials even before starting to assemble.
We did not contact seller about splits & scratches it arrived with, as when assembled they are not obvious. It looks nice where I’m using it and should hold up for my purposes. It’s too bad you can’t find one of better quality at a higher price point to match, it would be worth it to have a better quality. I wouldn’t discourage anyone from buying, just be aware of what you are getting and if the lesser quality will affect how you want to use this.

Love the concept of this bookshelf, shipped quick and packaging was fine, but poor finishes on the wood with the staining. The last photo it is actually bumpy finish. Some of the wood was splintered/damaged.
Overall low quality for the money.

Love the look of the bookshelf, just the style and color I was looking for. Assembled in less than one hour with 2 people. Glad it came with a wall attachment, as our carpet seemed to make it more unstable. Only reason for not giving it 5 starts is the pieces that go in between the shelves attached with dowels ended up a bit loose, but doesn’t affect the integrity of the shelves. Hopefully this lasts a long time! You can also fit vinyl perfectly in each shelf. Overall, good for the money, looks great, feels sturdy, and it came with extra screws and dowels.

I don’t expect miracles from this kind of furniture, but I DO expect all the pieces to go together so it’s usable. This is not.
The holes on the right-hand side of the bottom shelf (one of two shelves numbered as 3) do not align with the side panel. The other shelf #3 has the same issue (even when flipped), so it’s not a shelf issue, it’s a panel issue. Then, ONE of the holes on the left-hand side of the base doesn’t align, so the base is only held in with three screws. So I’ve got a worthless shelf that cost $300, because as it is now, there’s insufficient structure to safely support anything I planned on using it for (cookbooks, specifically).
Then, to add insult to injury, they expect this to be able to be returned in order to get either a replacement or a refund. They have to know what a limited use box they shipped it in, which had been held together by a lot of packing tape – one shipment and it was already weakened – enough to get it delivered in one piece, but once I started opening it, the tape had to be stripped off, which weakened the structure of the box even more, rendering it useless to reuse.

It’s just what I was looking for and hoping for! It’s not a super high-quality, long-lasting, solid wood piece or anything, BUT it’s stylish, durable enough, and looks great—perfect to keep over the next five years or so while we move around (and things get banged up).
I also really like the corner shelf option; and that it has vertical panels on the side of each shelf as bookends!
