I was looking for a vest with extra pockets for traveling. Scottevests are great, but have more pockets than I need, and some of the pockets are small. The vests are also costly. This vest has two large outside pockets, two large inside pockets, a large chest pocket, as well as a back pocket. There is room for my small Kindle, phone, and wallet, as well as other things. The airline will make me put my purse away, but I can keep the vest. In regards to pockets, this vest is perfect.

I’ve lost a bit of weight, so ordered a smaller size. I should have ordered a size larger than I usually wear., but I can get it zipped. If I had to do it again, I’d order Amazon’s recommended size. It’s also a bit short in that my t-shirt hangs out, but that’s not a big deal breaker for me. The vest weight is great for warmer climates.

This is a great travel vest. Large inside pockets to hold things like phone charger and cords. Zip breast pocket for travel documents and cell phone. Made going through security a breeze. Just take off the vest will all your items and throw it into a bin. Lightweight enough I wore on the plane for easy access to my items. Well made and comfortable. Tailored cut, not boxy. Sizing is accurate and the vest has a little stretch. No need to upsize.

Only possible negative is the length. It comes down to the hips. I bought a longer vest on purpose thinking that is what I wanted. After wearing this for 3 weeks on an European vacation; I would prefer a shorter vest that stops at the waist. The longer vest is bulky while sitting. You sit on the back of the vest and it pulls at your neck. If you have heavy items in the side pockets, it either pulls or creates a bulge, depending on where you ‘sit’ the pocket. A few hours into the 12 hour flight it started to bother me. Not enough to take it off though.

Mine arrived today and I’m very pleased with it. The fit is just right and the construction seems sturdy. It’s machine washable, but tumble drying, ironing or dry cleaning are not recommended. The design is thoughtful. I don’t usually listen to music on the go, but the chest pocket, which is made for your phone, has a little opening inside at the top where you can pass your headphones, and a little loop at the neck band to keep them close to your ears. I particularly like the arrangement of the side pockets. The inside pocket, which is big enough to hold my Kindle, actually lies exterior to the zippered pocket that opens on the outside. So even with a Kindle in the inside pocket, I can sit comfortably with the jacket zipped up. I would use the back pocket for something soft that I wouldn’t need frequently, such as a packet of tissues or a spare pair of panties. I think this jacket will be perfect for my trip to Australia and New Zealand this fall.

Sizing- Well, you need to consider 2 different sizes depending on your purpose

If you wear this as a travel vest, pockets crammed full of stuff, you need to size up a bit, so pockets won’t bulge and the garment hangs well.

But for daily wear, if wanting to look slimmer and trimmer, best to size down a bit, and to recognize you can’t carry so much in the pockets in a vest that fits snugly.

I’m 5’4 and 130, usually US size M in outerwear when (and only when) I wear them form-fitting, especially if over just one thin layer of clothing on warmer days. I bet a size M in this vest would fit me ideally on a day like that and look great. (I may need to order one and find out!)

I’m size L for cool weather outerwear that’s zipped shut in front over multiple layers, and when filling the pockets with stuff and the garment needs to hang right without bulging. This vest in size L is ideal for those purposes.

Colors: I got 2 colors, the one that’s practically white, and this medium gray (I think they call it “light gray.”) Both colors seem just as in the photos.

Pockets!!: The 4 zipper pockets are fabulous. The zippers are cleanly finished and the semi-stiff, semi-flexible fabric makes them seem to just disappear when not in use. Makes the vest look very sleek. Even when filled, the pockets somehow don’t look as bulge-y as they would in a thin fabric.

The single chest pocket will actually hold a phone or wallet. So many manufacturers only give you enough room for a chapstick or driver’s license!

The back pocket will hold a lot, however, it makes the contents bump against me awkwardly while moving, so personally I’ll only use it for very lightweight items like headphones, or soft things like those hat/gloves you want to bring “just in case.”

The 2 hardwarmer pockets are roomy enough for phone, wallet, keys, even a somewhat oversize sunglasses case (the big but not huge size), while also still deep enough for your hands.

Armholes: They are cut beautifully, at least for me — they magically somehow do not gape, unlike so many big-name vests I have tried on, and yet I can wear them over a thick hoodie. I can’t tell you how nice it is to find this feature in an item I took an internet gamble on.

I suppose this means they might be too tight if you are a person who does prefer deep armholes, we’re all different after all.

Length: comes exactly to the top of my 29/30 pants inseam.

Collar: The standup neck does kinda poke your chin as you move. I know this bothers some folks, it bothers me too, but can’t be helped if you want wind protection for your neck, which I do. I’ve never seen a softshell garment that isn’t this way. Pro tip, try a lightweight scarf.

Fabric: Just a lovely fabric, ideal for spring or fall, though probably not for the heat of summer. The right trade-off between stiffness and drapey-ness so that it hangs down and stays in place, not flimsy, but not heavy either. Description claims that this fabric “breathes,” but I just cannot imagine that’s true.

Definitely feels soft against your skin. Does rustle a bit as you move, good to be warned if that’s a turn-off for you. The texture is minimally shiny, so that it will fit in with your normal casual wear without looking explicitly athletic. Actually quite classy, imho. I would say both these color versions have as matte a texture as a wind-proof fabric can possibly have.

In conclusion, great product, I’d give these many, many more stars than just 5 if I could

Received this item very quickly. Seems like a quality build and fabric. I like the fit. I bought a medium which is what I typically wear. Love the colour, and it provides just enough warmth to make the difference on a cool summer morning. Great for blocking the wind.

The quality is amazing. Fully lined with a meshy fabric. Lots of reflective detail. Zippers on pockets are excellent quality. The fit is great. There is some stretch. I would have ordered a L according to chart but reading reviews I ordered M and I’m really happy I did. I don’t get stretch with a tshirt or light long sleeve as the vest sits against me without being snug (perfect for me!) I could put a hoodie underneath and vest would stretch a bit to accommodate but a heavier jacket would be sausage-y. Nice length on me. Definitely recommend this item.

This is the second time ordering this vest. This time I ordered the color Lemon. This color is really not lemon colored (not yellow). It is more like a Lime/bright green color. This is exactly what I was looking for, as this is one of my favorite colors. The quality of this vest is very good. It has nice big pockets, it is true to size and it is comfortable and light weight. Looking forward to taking this on my next flight. The first vest I ordered was Orange, it was too bright, more like a Hi-Vis orange color. I returned the Orange one.

I bought this because my Scott E Vest is a little too floppy now, and buying a size smaller would be nearly $200. I took a risk on this one, hoping that the inside lower pockets would be big enough for my Kindle (yes!). This vest is a little bit warm, and waterproof, so not for summer travel to hot places, but a nice layer for cooler ones. It has all the pockets I need without the two dozen extras that my e-vest has. Amazon insisted that I needed a medium, which would be correct for shirts, but this vest is cut quite close to the body, with just a little bit of stretch, and if you want to put much of anything in the pockets, I think sizing up would be wise.

Thus far I am delighted with the sturdiness of the vest and the very reasonable price. I’m also pleased that more manufacturers are realizing that we need more pockets in womenswear in general. I will be using this for travel (and keeping an eye out for a less – warm version) but I’m sure it will also be a staple for walking my dog and running errands in cooler weather at home, when I just need the pockets!

This light weight vest is a great value for the unbeatable quality. I wear a lot of vests, and this one is stunning. The large is a perfect fit as I wear a size 12. It’s nice and long but not too long. It has reflective striping and ample, easy to reach pockets. It’s very flexible and comfortable unlike some quilted or down vests. It’s great for sports. I just ordered a rose one too. The orange is not my usual choice but I want it for Oregon State baseball games. I highly recommend it.
