Bellroy Lite Sling Crossbody Bag Description
- New soft, durable, dirt-resistant, super lightweight (2 to 3 times lighter than our usual) ripstop fabric, which is made from 100% recycled materials.
- This lightweight sling has an expandable side gusset that grows as you fill it, then self-compresses when you’re carrying less. A double-ended zipper creates ultra wide access, so it’s easy to get your things in and out without rummaging. And a strong magnetic clasp on the strap makes getting it on and off a snap.
- Organization includes a front zip compartment with internal slip pockets and a built-in key clip. The spacious main compartment has a raised sunglasses pouch, plus a handy slip pocket for smaller items. There’s padded paneling on the back for comfort, easy grab cord zipper pulls and an integrated bike light loop on the front.
- Measures 5.9 inches x 12.2 inches x 4.3 inches / 150mm x 310mm x 110mm. Internal capacity is 7L. The strap length is minimum 38 inches / 96 cm and maximum 59 inches / 150 cm.

I have a problem where I buy so many bags and slings. I rotate through a lot of them depending on my need and mood, but I constantly come back to this one. It’s incredibly lightweight but sturdy and durable. I can fit a lot in it and it doesn’t look bulky. When I need something that looks nice and just flows with my life and whatever I’m doing, this is the one I reach for.
10/10 would definitely buy this again…and will probably impulse buy another color because I can’t help myself.

Very comfortable to wear even fully loaded. Easy to organize my stuff how I want, fits literally everything and an entire 24oz water bottle on top of that. Packs down super flat when not in use for easy transit. Very happy with the buckle and strap setup, easy to remove/put on and sits nicely on my body, easy enough to adjust on the fly.

Love this sling, small and compact and quality is great, had to return mine because it was smaller than I expected.

Bonne contenance

I really like this bag. It has been my everyday bag for about a year now because I hate having a crapload of stuff in my pockets. I took it traveling in Europe as well. After a year of use, it still looks brand new. What I carry in my bag are: wallet, ear buds, folded shopping bag, Oakley sunglasses (which are pretty big), reading glasses, distance glasses, kleenex, various small things like hand sanitizer, eye drops etc. With all these things in it, it is pretty full. However, it ain’t 7 liters. 7 liters is like 20 cans of soda (liquid minus the cans) or 3.5 2-liter bottles. Yeah, nuh uh. I would say it is closer to 3 liters from a practical standpoint, 4 liters max. My old 2 liter bag held all of these but was stuffed pretty tight. This one has a little more room. And I’m okay with that because I wouldn’t want to carry 7 liters of stuff in a sling bag.
Pros:
– Very comfortable to wear for long periods
– The strap is soft to the touch and very flexible. Although it looks like webbing, it is soft like fabric
– The magnetic clasp – oh the joy of the magnetic clasp. It is so easy to put on and take off, especially when you’re wearing a hat. No more wiggling through the strap and knocking your hat or your sunglasses off. It takes 1 second to detach and 1 second to reattach. It also makes a great fidget toy.
– The ingenious double zipper – makes it easy to open from either side, without having to search for the zipper tab
– Very lightweight and squishes up to virtually nothing when packing in a suitcase
– Fabric seems pretty durable – I’ve brushed against walls and dropped it on the ground. Still looks brand new
Cons:
– I have a small frame so the strap is too long by about at least 4-6 inches for me. So it hangs pretty loose. So when I lean forward, the bag slides from my back to my front. Wish the strap could go a little shorter. But I used a little strap hook and was able to shorten it and now it fits fine.
– Pockets – Ironically the front small zippered pocket has 2 internal pockets (which you really can’t use cuz the front pocket is so small), while the main, large compartment has only one small pocket unless you count that small pouch thingy at one end that I keep my earbuds in (but they often jump out of the pouch, the pesky buggers). It would be great if they put a soft-lined pocket for glasses or at least another general use pocket. Even better would be if they put another external pocket on the back (facing your body) where you could store your phone.
– Front zippered pocket hard to open – because it is buried behind a flap of fabric, it is difficult to open and close, mostly because the zipper tab is often in the wrong position. To make it easier to find and pull, I attached a key chain to the zipper and it works better but still gets stuck.
Is this worth the money? I’m kinda on the fence on this. I like most of the features and the quality and detailing are good. I would probably buy it again unless I’m dazzled by another bag.

I recently went on a week-long trip and by the end of it I was convinced that having a sling would make my next trip significantly better. I spent so much of the trip with a half empty backpack I had to carry around because it was the only way to tote the stuff I needed. I also do lots of little outings with my young son on the weekends where having more supplies than what can fit in my pockets is really useful. Finally, after getting this sling, I’ve realized I can carry everything I need for my trips to the gym! In the attached photo, I’ve got keys, wallet, earbuds, sanitizer, sweat towel, water bottle, hanky, glasses wipes (and a Tile that’s always in there).
I don’t need all the pockets and dividers that are in many other slings, because while it holds a ton of stuff, it’s not THAT big, so I can always find what I need easily, and there’s only a couple spots to look in this thing. I’m also a big fan of how NOT tacticool the look is, which is common in other slings as well.
Zippers are really smooth and high quality, but basically impossible to use with a single hand. The strap is comfortable and strong. The compression system on the sides is really clever, and helps keep things from falling out if the zippers aren’t closed, and keeps as low a profile as possible on your body at all times. The clasp is magic. I don’t understand how it can be so easy to open but also so secure when it’s closed.
Honestly I never thought I’d pay this much for such a small bag, but as long as it doesn’t fall apart on me in the near future, I’d say it’s fully worth it.

I’ve never used a cross-body bag before, but having all my stuff in one place is so nice. Cash, sunglasses, keys, cards, hair stuff, etc. The zippers are good quality, the fabric is strong and water resistant. And the color is fun!

Another great product by Bellroy. I have a bookbag and laptop cover from them, and quality is great, so I’m not too surprised about this sling. Size is on-par with many other sling bags, but I appreciate the banana boat form. You can fit in A LOT. I was able to store my 20oz metal shaker cup, 3 sets of keys, small notebook, 2 pens, AP2 case, eye cream, and phone. Weight wasn’t an issue. The magnetic clasp is also VERY strong, so you won’t have to worry about it coming undone even when you’re carrying a lot in the bag.
However, there are 2 negatives for me, but not enough to dock a star;
1. The other reviewers are correct, the fit is tight. It’s especially so with me as I have fairly wide shoulders and larger-than-average pecs and traps. Cause of my shape and physique, the sling bag basically rests under my armpit, and gives a good squeeze. I don’t mind it though as it is comfy, but it IS tight, so be warned.
2. You CAN one-hand the zippers, but depending on your angle and how you wear the sling, it’ll be a little tough. My other sling bags zippers can easily be opened by a toddler, which can be good or bad (depending on location cause y’know…. pick pocketers lmao). I don’t mind it TOO much, but for those that want ease of access, this may not be the bag for you.
