Smartwool Merino Gloves Description
- WINTER WARMTH. Beat the chill with our Merino Wool Gloves. Not only will you stay warm, but these touchscreen-compatible gloves are designed with performance-oriented Merino wool to give you that luxurious feel.
- TOUCH SCREEN COMPATIBLE. Designed so you can stay tuned into your phone or tablet when it’s cold, these gloves feature knit-in touch screen capability on the thumb and index finger.
- RECYCLED FABRIC. Made from a blend of Merino Wool and recycled nylon for increased durability and sustainability, these soft, lightweight gloves offer cozy protection for adventurous cold days.
- WHY MERINO WOOL? Thinner and softer than regular wool, it’s easy to wear next to skin. Each fiber transports sweat away as a vapor, helps cancel out smells (we checked) and regulates body temperature, to keep you cool in summer and warm in winter.

These seem more like glove liners- my hands were still very cold in this New York chill, I was hoping they would keep my hands warmer better than nothing but if you need light gloves, these are great and they allow your index finger to use your phone. Handy
Tina –
When I first recieved these as a gift, I thought they would never keep my hands warm. WRONG! I was amazed. For activity time in the winter, I wear these under my big bulky gloves. My finger finally stay warm
scott –
I bought these gloves to use as a liner a year ago. They have held up great and are a must for holding in the warmth as a base layer to hold the heat. They are worth every penny
Richard Sanders –
Pricey gloves but worth the price if you, like myself, hate having cold hands and fingers. These gloves are 100% cozy and effectively prevent cold hands and fingers.
Chris –
Ripped after 4 days on the mountain being worn under leather gloves
Diese Handschuhe sind wirklich viel zu dünn. –
Für den Preis etwas mehr erwartet.
Stay Cold –
merino wool- the miracle fabric. incredible what a noticable difference these make. any days on the mountain under 27°f, and my hands would be miserable. adding these as a layer made 0°-27° days warm, comfortable, and easy. can’t recommend these enough.

The fabric is quite thin and the left pointer finger is hard and inflexible. It feels like a blob of glue is in the tip of the first finger making it uncomfortable. I have other Smartwool gloves that were cheaper and of better quality.
Denton Bryce –
I ordered these thinking they’d be a little thicker and could be worn on their own. They’re more of a liner, though. I’m sure it says that in the description, but the title of the product page doesn’t mention that and they look thicker in the photo.
They’re high quality but cannot be worn on very cold days. These are more of a 30° plus type of weather glove. If I’d known that ahead of time, I probably wouldn’t have bought them. But I didn’t want to deal with a return so I just kept them. Though I rarely wear them.
