The texture of the ointment is perfect for nighttime use, don’t use it during the day or your vision will be blurry! A little goes a long way, so a single tube lasts quite a while.
One thing I’ve learned is that I can’t afford to forget to use Retaine PM. If I skip a night, I can immediately tell the difference in the morning. My eyes feel dry, scratchy, and uncomfortable. It’s a clear reminder of how essential this ointment has become for me.

I put it in at night because my vision in that eye is a little blurry in that eye, but it isn’t like it is unmanageable or really bad. My eye feels good after a night’s sleep. I actually have subscribe and save on this do I never have to worry about running out. So worth it
