Swanwick Classic Day Swannies Blue Light Blocking Glasses Description

  • PREMIUM DAYTIME BLUE LIGHT BLOCKING GLASSES: The specialized virtually clear lenses in Day Swannies can block the most harmful part of blue light (98% at 400nm, graduating to 47% at 450nm), reducing electronic screen glare but still allowing some “good” blue light in to help regulate the circadian rhythm and support mental alertness during the day.
  • STAY PRODUCTIVE WITHOUT THE DIGITAL EYE STRAIN: More than just a stylish fit, Day Swannies are exclusively designed to help you avoid digital eye strain and its detrimental effects, including sore eyes, headaches, dry eyes and blurred vision.
  • A PRACTICAL GIFT FOR PROFESSIONALS AND STUDENTS: Give the gift of visual comfort with a pair of Swannies to help protect your loved ones from the glare of their laptop screen, smartphone or gaming PC, especially when they work (or play) all day.
  • PAIRS PERFECTLY WITH OUR NIGHT SWANNIES: Day Swannies are designed more for digital eye strain protection than for sleep support, so we recommend switching to Night Swannies which can block the full spectrum of blue light to help you optimize your sleep/wake cycle and get a great night’s sleep.
  • Our Money Back Pledge: We’re so sure you’ll love your Swannies, but in case that you’re not happy with your item, we will refund you within 30 days of purchase.

I’ve had a some blue blocking glasses for awhile, and I really didn’t like them. They weren’t a cheap brand, but they were slightly cheaper than Swannies. After receiving my Swannies, I can see why there’s a price difference. Very lightweight and comfortable; fitment is akin to prescription frames. Best optical clarity I’ve ever had; the lenses are similar to prescription glasses clarity wise. The amber tint is almost twice as amber as my previous pair, but I couldn’t really tell while wearing them. I couldn’t be happier. Solid product. I’m tempted to by the darker “night” version since these are so well made.

Extremely disappointed and annoyed to add to the list of complaints of warped frames. With so many similar complaints one would expect that Swannick will really address this issue. Returning the item for a replacement or refund is such a pain especially if you live South Africa. Come guys read the reviews and do better!

Don’t wast your money on these cheaply made (but expensive) glasses!! Mine were handled carefully, but still broke in the first few weeks. Sadly, another cheap, crappy product made in China. I was dumb enough to pay top dollar for these. When will we stop letting sellers perpetrate this cheap crap on Americans? Waste of my time and money.
    BE WARNED, DO NOT BUY!

I was very disappointed that the frames were warped, so much so that I sent them back. I also noticed quite a bit of glare. I expected more for the price.

The Swannies definitely make a distinct difference in decreasing glare while working on the computer or watching television. However, I really wish they had an oversized lens for ladies version. I can see the bottom of the frames when I am wearing them and it bugs me.

These look great on- very flattering- and my eyes don’t sting at the end of the day when I wear them!

Update: These are SO worth the price! I wear them 8 hrs/day, 5 days/week and I have a computer job. Though not prescription strength, my eyes actually improved after wearing them! My eyesight improved and my astigmatism vanished!! 😮

This is my second pair of Swannies. I LOVE having non-prescription blue blocking glasses! I initially purchased the nighttime-use orange tinted glasses, and I love them so much that I decided to get the daytime-use ones as well! I work on a computer and am really enjoying these in place of my prescription computer glasses. (My prescription is so low that it didn’t make a difference, and I primarily wanted blue blockers.) My only issue is I think I may have gotten the wrong size for my face and have to push them up on my nose when I look down. Small price to pay though!

  8. Doobie

Staring at a monitor all day caused me to experience eye strain, eye twitches, headaches and dry eyes. A friend suggested that I try a pair blue blocker lens which sounded a little hokey to me but after using these for 1 month all the symptoms are greatly reduced. It’s a bonus that the frames actually look pretty good as I was afraid they would be hideous. Overall I am very pleased with these Swannies and feel it was worth the cost.
