Easy to set up and maintain. Has adjustable flow rate. It has two sponge filter stages, one of which can be removed if needed. I wasn’t crazy about the suction cups on the back (or else it would be 5-stars). Very versatile storage containers that can replace sponges with different media – You can even add filter floss and use this a water cleaner after a water change. Definitely recommended.

The Freesea Aquarium Tank Filter arrived in a well packaged box with no damage noticed. The submersible filter is very user-friendly and arrives almost completely assembled; you simply need to attach your chosen nozzle. I tested it using the air addition nozzle. The filter runs extremely quiet and the flow in the tank is wonderful for my 10-gallon tank. The filter also seems to be easy to clean and maintain. My only significant complaint is that the air control knob is extremely stiff and hard to adjust. Aside from that, it appears to work as expected, and the inclusion of bio media and sponges should make this an effective bio-powered sponge filter.

My tank isn’t much clearer but it definitely brings the bubbles maybe I have to give it a few but it’s a great filter so far

I’ve been rescaping freshwater aquarium and I wanted to get more flow into it. For a few months now, I’ve been running an air stone to create some turbulence, but it really wasn’t what I wanted and needed. Enter this internal pump.
Everything you’ll need comes, including additional outflow nozzles.
You can also just use half of the entire unit, by twisting the two compartments off, and reattaching the bottom compartment, and it uses half the space.
Once mounted, you just adjust the flow with the external valve, and you’re set.
The suction cups for mounting have a little quirk to getting them in the spots to hold the filter, but I figured squeezing the end that goes in and pushing it in tight, as if pressing a button, does the trick.
This is a pretty solid unit that adds that much needed flow — it works especially well when you inject your tank with CO2 as you can adjust the flow, so you don’t degas the water too quickly.

Recently, I acquired a small fish tank and sought a filter capable of maintaining the cleanliness of the tank without causing undue stress to the fish due to excessive water flow. This particular filter proved to be an ideal solution, effectively filtering the water and requiring minimal effort for assembly. Furthermore, it is both cost-effective and simple to clean. The filter aesthetically complements my fish tank, and I am highly satisfied with its performance. Your fish will likely share this sentiment.

Super easy to use, comes almost fully assembled, you need to put which ever nozzle you want on it and I tested it with the air addition nozzle. The only real complaint is the air control is VERY difficult to turn to adjust the amount of air that enters. Other than that, it seems to function as intended and the bio media and sponges will be a great addition to makes this a bio powered sponge filter.
