Installed in a 2020 subaru forester. No noticeable change in mileage or acceleration nor intake noise. However, the seal around this filter fit the air box like a glove and I’m happy I can wash it out instead of tossing it.

I came from using Cosworth high flow dry filters on my old Impreza, over to K&N oiled on my new one. K&N never caused me any problems and always performed well, but I still prefer dry filters over oiled. The AEM has filled that sweet spot, and so far I actually feel like throttle response and sound are better with AEM, and gas mileage has stayed about the same as with K&N. Total maintenance matters, so if a single air filter is causing you major shifts either way in gas mileage, it’s not just a filter issue. Solidly built, great fit and easy installation. Highly recommended!

Despite what Amazon says it fits a 2021 crosstrek. Easier to fit than the one on my wifes 2011 Subaru forester. Dont have to remove the airbox from the intake tube. Better than paying Subaru $50 each year to replace it

You won’t gain power with an NA engine and if you get better fuel mileage, your maintenance was not up to par. Don’t overthink it but please, don’t buy K&N unless you are racing on the track. Your MAF sensor will thank you. (200$+)
