It works fine, but since it is so lightweight with no rubber pads on the bottom, it tends to slide around. I will be adding some stick-on rubber pads.

While my co-workers seem to prefer using their cell phones as calculators, I picked this up to use to verify counts in the distribution center where I work.
I guess my age and thought process is radically different from my co-workers, as I don’t want to carry my cell, or risk damaging it just to use as a calculator while working my shift.
So, I gave this a try.
The price was right, the display is easy to read and it’s performed perfectly for what I’ve needed while running various pieces of equipment.
Also, if something happens to the calculator in the DC, it would be far easier to replace than my Samsung Galaxy.
The only issue I had was that the calculator wasn’t a good fit on some of the equipment I use at times. So, I purchased the Casio shown in the picture for when a smaller calculator would be a better fit. However, I have to be careful with the Casio as it is nowhere near as robustly built as the Amazon.
I haven’t done it, and hope it doesn’t happen, but I figure the Amazon may take some abuse and keep working. If the Casio drops off the equipment one time (or I drop it on the floor), I figure it will be done for as it is so thin and lightweight.
In the end, no regrets on this purchase at all.

I have been using a couple of tiny little pocket calculators for quite a few years but was getting really tired of the small size and tiny buttons. I decided to buy a little bigger electronic calculator but I didn’t want one of those very large ones or another very small one. This calculator is only about 3-1/2″ wide and about 5″ from top to bottom, looking at it from above. This is an 8-digit calculator which is good for about everything you might want to do unless you are trying to find the value of pi. The buttons are good sized and there is a little separation between them so they are very easy to use. This calculator does chain calculations, square roots, has full memory functions, and a button to change from positive figures to negative figures. It is also solar powered. To turn on, just push on the “C” button. When you are through using it, it will stay on for close to a minute and then shut itself off – no worries. This is a really perfect little calculator for home use. Being a lifelong thrifty Yankee I always appreciate bargains and couldn’t believe how low the price on the 5-pack of these calculators is. I ordered the five-pack and will give the other four to some relatives whom I know will be very pleased with them. If you have any need of a calculator, as we all do from time to time, I recommend you purchase one or more of these beauties. They are not too big, they are not too small, they are just perfect in every way!

This is a solid, functional calculator. However, for my tastes, the buttons took a hair more pressure than the Casio MS80-B I’m used to. In addition, the screen is a little smaller (as are the displayed numbers). The deal-killer for me was that the Casio MS80-B tells you in the display if you last hit a function (e.g., addition, subtraction). For doing bills and adding up my checkbook balances, this is a must-have. I had to return this calculator and get another Casio MS80-B. I did like the slightly smaller size of the Amazon Basics calculator. I’m sure there are many folks who would find this calculator to be just fine, and you can’t beat the price!

This is a very helpful calculator- it is not sensitive and fragile to touch like some calculators – there is enough room up and down and left to right to do the work without hitting other keys accidentally- the keys are big enough to not be any problem and the display is very nice size. I use it alot. Very good calculator!
