Viper doesn’t supply the installation instructions and you can’t get them anywhere online. You have to bring it to an approved shop for install

This is meant for PROFESSIONAL INSTALLERS. Not backyard Joe. Thus why no install manual.

Took 3 weeks to get and seller didn’t want to help at all! All they would do is look at the tracking. Didn’t want to help fix the three week ship time. The kit was pieced together and didn’t have the right instructions inside. I have installed about one hundred remote starts most of them viper. This was by far the worst.

A very nice unit, but not a simple install. Replaced a much older viper unit and the new unit does away with the relay banks. Nice and tidy install.

Installed in 97 Ram 1500 without factory keyless entry. Basic Electrical knowledge and proficient use of a Multimeter required. Also need to be able to source a vehicle wiring diagram or a color code sheet for your specific vehicle. DO NOT expect Tech support directly from the manufacturer, they require a dealer account for support, Youtube and the internet will be your friend with support. Power Lock function and Horn function will require the integration of relays. For a low level install with no bells and whistles it is a good purchase to Lock/Un-Lock doors and remote start your vehicle. The remotes that were received with my control unit were not paired, I had to do that myself. If someone is going to install multiples of these units, the appropriate programming equipment (BitWriter) will make that much easier, Other wise programming requires pushing/Holding Valet Button and listening for Horn beeps or light flashing. Viper has a good reputation with these types of accessories. Spare Parts are readily available if needed.
