Can’t argue with the price for this light. Please check descriptions for light details to see if it will meet your demands though. This light is very basic, as in it doesn’t have brightness control or other fancy features. It reaches the very bottom of my aquarium and lights it up fairly bright! It does moderately well for planted tanks, although I mostly only have lower lighting plants. This was one of the cheapest led lights out here on Amazon with good reviews and that also influenced my purchase. Although the light is bright, I do pair it with another brand of led lights to make my aquarium even brighter. See my picture for an idea of how bright this light is (please take my picture with a grain of salt as picture and lighting can vary from screen to screen or screen to in-person, also in my picture I do not have my second set of lights on, only the aquaneat light is on).

This light has been the perfect upgrade for my fish tank. My plants have begun growing faster than they were under my old outdated fluorescent bulbs and the tank overall appears brighter and cheerier. The light is very lightweight and easily adjustable, and absolutely INDESTRUCTABLE.

Seriously. I have accidentally dropped this light onto the floor and directly into the fish tank so many times during feedings and cleaning–clumsy, I know. But somehow it has continued to work perfectly and is just as bright and clear as the day I got it. Only issue is the adjustable bars have developed rust from getting wet and have more or less locked into place at the chosen length.

Amazing little light for the price. I had to get a second one for my other tank, which had been just as abused but keeps on kicking.

I clearly haven’t set up my tank yet, so I can’t comment on longevity or anything, but I got the 36-44 inch light, and my dry run appears to be very good. No burnt out LEDs, looks like it will be plenty of light for my purposes (low light plants and general illumination, so too much light would probably be bad — I think this will be about right once I have things filled.) No moonlight mode, but I never used that on my last tank anyway. The switch on the cord seems ok as long as it will be arranged without putting much weight on the weird connection point between the two parts of the cord.

My tank is an odd size, it’s 35.4″ wide, and I expected I would have to alter the legs on this light based on the description of the length of the legs and the lamp itself. However, as you can see from the pictures, it’s just right without any alteration, which is a plus for me. I got 33.5 inches on the body of the light itself when I threw on a tape measure, and the legs snug down onto the tank rim perfectly, with maybe a little less than half an inch of adjustment for the light to slide toward one side or the other. They originally came installed upside down to how I want them, but I removed them and put them the other way up, as in my picture. They slide pretty well, though the track may become dirty later with use, because it is semi-exposed.

The thing that struck me most about this light is that it is super skinny, top to bottom (and also pretty thin front to back). It will really visually float, compared to my last one (though of course, the mind tends to edit out tank paraphernalia anyway).

I have a few of these lights and my plants love them. They are bright and work well for not being overly pricey. All of my aquariums have them and they are great.

From start to finish this product is 100%. I ordered it from amazon using prime and arrival time was approx 4 days. I was able to pay 8 bucks to get it in 2 days, no big deal considering the very reasonable price of this light. I originally was looking to buy the NICREW 48 inch on amazon which was going to cost me about 60 dollars. Before I made the purchase I saw this brand pop up in the suggestions and decided to take a look. I realized it was half the price and although it did not have as many LED lights as the nicrew I am not so concerned about having showstopping bright white lights that will blind you, as a matter of fact the specs between the two brands were very similar! (especially since I dont have a saltwater tank w/ corals or a heavily planted freshwater) so I said let’s try this one out! I received the light in a long rectangular cubed box and heard a bunch or rattling inside (I thought oh great here we go) but I opened it and realized the light ballast itself was encased in a hard black plastic box that was very very sturdy and taped shut on both ends. I opened it and examined it and couldnt find a scratch, so shipping went great, no problems for me. The extension peices were in a small bag and it was easy to slide them on, they are definitely resistant to pull in and out to adjust and I was very pleased with that. I have a wood canopy piece onto of my tank so the extenders are not exactly able to hook onto the sides of the tank but instead they rested sturdily on top of the sides and that is good enough for me! The light ballast is quite narrow so I was very unsure about that, I thought at first this is def not going to be enough light, look how skinny it is! So next the power cord, it came in 2 pieces and the light switch was placed in quite the odd spot in the middle of the whole cord. I have to feed all my wiring down the back of my tank (just like everyone else I assume) and plug it into the outlet box. Well, it was looking like I was going to have to bend down and practically climb under the tank to be able to click the on/off switch for the light. I ended up feeding some of the cord back up to the top and taped it together so I could keep the light switch resting ontop of my canopy in the corner (there was at least just enough power cord to do this) so problem solved, NOT a big deal for me. Finally I turned on the light and was quite amazed. Was skinny a problem? Absolutely not! This thing is a little beast. It lights up quite beautifully and gives a gorgeous blue/white/almost purple hues and the color of my fish certainly pop now! My old light had green hues and I will def miss that but now this lighting has grown on me and I am adored by it. I highly recommend this buy, it saved me half the money on from another brand with the sameish features and I am content with this buy. I uploaded a before photo, after photo, and closeups of the light on the tank, the taped up light switch, and my aquascape. Once again, I highly recommend this product and will be buying more in the future for my other aquariums!
