I have an 16 lt tank and this isn’t enough as a filter… So I’ve remove it because my betta gone inside the volcano and hurt itself… Very cute but it’s no good

I’m using this in a 1.5 gallon beta tank as no filter I’ve tried fits very well and they are generally a pain for this size tank. This sticks very well to the bottom of the tank—just need to make sure no gravel is under it. I was hoping for a steady stream of small bubbles but I only get burps of larger bubbles. I’ve tried 2 different size pumps and have fiddled with the air flow but no significant difference. My beta seems content so I let it be. I’m not sure if this actually filters anything. It works for a beta tank but I would not depend on it filtering the water. I do a water change about every 3 weeks. Changing the filter is fairly easy. It sticks pretty tight to the bottom of the tank so need to be careful trying to pull it up.

This does nothing to help with filtering out or small beta fish bowl, it truly is only for decoration and bubbles. it does have scum in it when we clean it, but the tank gets cloudy and yucky just as fast as when we didn’t have this. It also seems to bother our beta fish. so now we just have a little volcano decoration with no filter plugged in. not worth it unless you want the decoration.

I use this for my beta and turned it to a very low output. It has a valve to lessen or intensify the air output. He was getting caught in the air flow when it was releasing more volume but turned down very low is perfect for ambiance and air flow to keep the water from turning stagnant.

My betta fish loves riding the bubbles to the surface😂 At first I was like oh no but then he would intentionally swim back into them and do it all over again. Functionally it works great and really helps keep the tank clean. I will say I did not rinse the filter out well enough before installing in the tank and I did notice a little film on the surface of the water from it.

If you need a dual bubbler and filter then this is the one for you.Small enough for a shrimp tank. I bought for a small 1 gallon desk tank for Frye I had bought to allow them to grow out a little before putting them into my big tank. This is definitely a keeper. The sponge filter hooks up to a air pump ( not included) and forces air through the sponge and out through the top of the volcano. My grandbabies love the look and bubbles. I loved the price and that it accomplished exactly what I bought it for .

This is a great addition to a smaller Aquarium (10g in my case) although the small tube for the air hose often gets blocked and I need a skewer to clear it

The volcano design is cute and works well for my snail tank. Size comparison, it’s smaller than the average salt shaker, which is what I was looking for. The only thing I don’t like is the air pump is sold seperately. It’s annoying, I don’t know why they couldn’t just package everything together and sell it as one unit.
