It is an amazing keyboard all the way around. I have one very tiny gripe, and that when you have the wrist rest against the keyboard, the LEDs don’t shine through it very bright. Not a big deal to me because I can’t stand using it anyway, but if you like using it and want it shining bright through that rest, don’t keep your hopes up. But that’s just my one gripe (besides armoury crate and aura sync, those programs are worse than stepping in diarrhea in nice clean white socks, but not the keyboards fault), it’s super fast, the animate portion is really cool and unique, and the sounds of the stock switches…to die for. Overall a really great purchase, I had already justified the $200 before I had really even used it.

Le meilleur clavier que j’ai eu.

Hands down the best keyboard I’ve used. Its expensive, but it does everything so well! Swappable switches, but you don’t need to as the reds it comes with are exquisite. The anime-trix is pretty cool, I have mine set to display an audio equalizer graph. Lots of media buttons to customize.

Asus absolutely crushed it with this keyboard. I truly love everything about it. I got mine with the red linear switches as I’m an FPS gamer and these keys lend themselves to my playstyle. Not only that, they are an absolute joy to type on as well. You can tell that Asus spent a lot of time designing this keyboard and packing it full of useful features. The RGB lighting is second to none. I love the fact that it comes with an included wrist wrest, the RGB pass-through on it is a nice touch as well. 8khz polling, not much to say about that other than you’re never missing a beat and when you press a key that input is instantaneous. They keyboard does require the use of two USB-A ports, if I had to think of a single complaint that would be it.
The AniMe Matrix is a very nice touch too. I wish there were more system plugins available to show information there. I would love to show my CPU / GPU temp or FPS but so far I have not been able to find a way to make that happen.

Bought this as a gift for my gamer boyfriend. I was super hesitant to get it, really any kind of gift because these gamers can be very particular about their equipment. I heard about this keyboard after reading a few reviews and after doing some more extensive research not only on this keyboard but just gaming keyboards in general, I went ahead and got it this one. One of the main factors in deciding to get this keyboard was the ability to swap keys so he could customize it the way he wanted. The only downside was for how pricey it was it couldn’t even be wireless. In comparison to what he was using which was another high end keyboard, he absolutely loves this one and definitely considers this an upgrade. He says it’s much quieter and smoother with the key clicks. Definitely happy with this purchase.

I replaced the top row numeric keycaps because I was bothered by not having the shifted key values lit up [see image with replacement keycaps]. The replacements have a smaller top face area, but it seems to work better for me so far.
Slowly getting used to this keyboard, but I may change some or all of the switches.
[first thoughts]
This looks cool, but the red switches are very sensitive, and the keys “seem” a bit closer together than I’m used to, and I have fairly large hands, and that will take time to adjust to. Also, it’s not a KVM friendly wired keyboard since it will not work with keyboard emulation, so it’s not going to handle keyboard based switching. Even when lit up, you cannot read the shift key values for the number row, so if I keep this, I may want new caps for the top numeric row, as I prefer the shifted values on top in the traditional fashion. Will update this review again after a little more time using it.

I love the keyboard and it feels great. I bought it thinking it would be quiet based on the reviews but it’s pretty loud. It’s like having the keyboard sound on your phone turned on it’s just annoying. The built in animated pixel screen is cool but what do you even put on it honestly without it being distracting. The wrist rest is better than any I’ve ever had.

Looks great, feels great, sounds great.

If you are a fan of ASUS Rog products and building a PC with all ROG components and peripherals then this keyboard is a great addition. I’m not a fan of the animate and can easily be turned off in armoury crate. Great RGB lighting which is a must on all PC gamers nowadays lol. I turn off all RGB on my PC if needed to.
Of course since it is a Rog product, the price is a bit steep but I got it when there was few bucks discount for some reason even before a Black Friday. Keystroke is great, really love it. Not too loud or clicky for me.
Downsides beside the price is cord, as it is tied to the keyboard and not a removable one compared to the custom keyboards that we are seeing but it is a good start for a big company like Asus. Hope they have a detachable cord model in the future without the animate.

Ya Hablando En Serio Y Sin Ir Tan Lejos Puedo Decir Con Certeza Que Este Teclado No Es Perfecto, Porque Nada Lo Es En Este Mundo… Pero Sí Es Por Mucho El Mejor Teclado Que ASUS Haya Fabricado… La Calidad En Su Construcción Aporta Un Feeling Sensacional, Su RGB Es Fantástico Por Dónde Lo Mires Y Al Tipear, Amigo!!! Es Una Delicia El Sonido Que Emiten Las Teclas… Como Siempre Digo Y Sin Llegar Al Fanboyismo (Porque No Es El Caso) Pero Reconociendo El Arduo Trabajo de Todo El Equipo de ASUS, No Lo Piensen Más Y Adquieran Este Precioso Teclado, No Se Van A Arrepentir 😉

Spent a while researching similar products such as the Logitech g915, Corsair k100 and the steel series apex pro. This keyboard is by far the best out of the all of them, the k100 apparently has a huge bug that bricks the device with reports of key logging (research it) and the steel series software is bloat ware with it also having ads.. this keyboard is metal, feels sturdy and is the best out of all options imo. The customizability is impeccable. Very satisfied

This is by far the best keyboard I ever owned. I switched to this one from a Razer Blackwidow V3
I love the build quality on this puppy, I love the RGB, I love the AniME Matrix, but over all else I LOVE THE SOUND
The mechanical switches are a pure delight for my ears. I love to type so much, in fact, I keep writing this review even though I have nothing else to share just because I love the sound it makes that much
I have it since February 2023 and it never failed on me. I 100% recommend this keyboard
