After reading reviews and looking at tons of shelves, I was very hopeful these were the right choice. The color I chose was perfect and these are expertly made. No mdf or press board here!! Worth every penny. As you can see we actually need another set… These shelves are solid and thick! Read the directions carefully on installing them bc it can be tricky – you definitely want these level. We ended up using a slightly larger drill bit to get the butterfly anchors in the wall, but worked well.

These shelves are perfect and fit perfect in my studio space! As soon as you open the package the natural wood smells AMAZING! Each set comes with a handwritten note which is so sweet! The shelves are sturdy and hold quite a bit of weight when installed correctly! The directions were easy to follow along with and there was a QR code that had a video attached! It was easy to align the shelves with the video so I recommend everyone watches it, they made it for a reason 🙂
I did have to order a replacement and return the set initially sent to me as the wrong color was sent, but they were super quick to get me the right color! I will absolutely place another order when I need shelves again in the future! 🙂

These look great and can hold some weight. They are beautifully-finished, fantastic-smelling solid pine. We got a set of two shelves and installed them into drywall upon arrival. I feel I am fairly handy and tool-savvy at home repair stuff. These shelves were fairly easy to install, once you accept that GIANT holes in your drywall are needed to get these securely on the wall if you cannot mount to studs. My installation was in a narrow space in a room corner, and studs were not an option. The shelves come with mounting hardware for studs or drywall, and can be adjusted horizontally and vertically to make sure the shelves are flat, or tilt the way you might want. The drywall mounting requires four 1/2-inch diameter holes. When mounted, no hardware or holes can be seen. Once these were drilled, the expandable mounts were straightforward to set up. I used a level, ruler, Phillips screwdriver, and a 1/2-inch drill bit.

Just look at the photos to see if this is really a quality European product or not. Very bad finish.
The listing says you get smart brackets but you will get low quality angle brackets screwed in to the wood.
The listing says you will get 24 x 6.7 inch but you actually get 16 x 5.5 inch.
Do not fall for the reviews. Just compare the photos in the listing with the one’s I have uploaded.
This has been an absolute waste of time. I can’t understand when will sellers grow to become more mature in making long term customers rather than breaking trust through sneaky ways.

I tried a couple cheaper MDF shelves and was extremely unimpressed with how cheap, wobbly, and insecure they were. These BAOBAB floating shelves are the answer!
They are truly solid wood. I was expecting thing plywood veneers and maybe some board in the middle but these seem to be a single solid piece with machined slots for the mounting brackets. They are solid, thick, and sturdy! I was a little worried as the while the mounting brackets are solid metal and heavy duty they don’t have a set screw to keep them in place but the fit is very tight and precise. As a bonus – no ugly screw bump on the bottom.
You do see the grain of the wood which adds to the aesthetic to me but if you are expecting a perfectly smooth finish then you might be happier with the mdf boards.

Just installed the 4 planks(all 16 inch) today on a brick wall. Careful markings are required but otherwise installation is not difficult(package came with clear install instructions).
Strange that only the 16″ set sold without delivery charge, otherwise would have bought 1×16″ and another 1×24″ set.
The amazing thing is that each set came with an envelop, and in it, a hand-written thank you note, and for the 2 sets I bought, 2 different hand-written notes!
Amazing – the first in online purchase. Great feeling to read how they feel about their products!

I bought two pairs of these—one pair about 2 months ago and another now. The original mounting hardware was much more finicky and hard to use. The updated hardware that’s included now is much better. Great quality shelves—straight wood, clean lines, nicely sanded and finished. I’m very happy.
