This seems like a decent middle of the road break barrel rifle. I would rate it better but the entire scope assembly is garbage. I threw my scope away and replaced it with a nicer one. What really annoyed me was that the flashlight and laser assembly came uninstalled and they were on a weaver rail mount and it is suppose to be a scope mount. I could not use it at all. They seemed a bit cheap anyway but that is one of the main reasons that I purchased this rifle. Anyway, I ended up upgrading the laser also. This is a decent rifle but for about the same money you could do better with the Nitro Venum or a Gamo

Great .22: well built, shoots accurate and packs a punch. I zeroed in the laser at 10 yards and the scope at 25 yards. I am hitting my target every time. After the first dozen shots the laser lost it’s zero (you could see it shifted right looking through the scope) but after checking, I realized it was the allen bolts on the clamp were loose. I re-tightened all the bolts an it’s back on target. The flashlight has come in very handy when shooting at dusk in close range (25 yards). I look forward to putting 100s of pellets through this rifle.
Edit after a couple of mods I made to the rifle:
I modified the trigger by removing the tension spring, driving the trigger adjustment bolt all the way in and adding a 5x8x2.5 bearing to the trigger pin actuator. Now the trigger is smooth as silk, the trigger travel is really short and it takes little effort to squeeze the trigger. This is the best $10 modification you can make to this rifle.
I also got rid of the 4X32 CenterPoint scope and mounted a 6-24X50 CVLife scope. What an amazing difference! The new scope is so much brighter and clearer. The targets are really crisp and now I can adjust optics for clear focus at any range. I attached the led flashlight and the laser on the new scope with no problems. The rifle also looks great with the bigger scope. I tried to upload a couple of images but could not do so.

I am a verified purchaser of this rifle to start with. It was purchased through my wife’s amazon account. This is a very good break barrel option for people that don’t want to spend a fortune on PCP guns that can cost more than real firearms. I primarily use this for target practice and to kill pest squirrels that damage our vegetable garden and my wife’s flower bulbs.
The first thing that I would recommend one doing is modifying the trigger or replacing it. The trigger is a two stage trigger that has a very long pull/creep. I think this is primarily for safety reasons. I can tell you and others will agree that this tends to affect accuracy. You squeeze and squeeze and then have a tendency to pull the trigger at the end of its travel, as you are now anticipating the gun going off. That was the case for me at least.There are replacement triggers out there for about 30 dollars or so. Like others I found an easy and cheap fix that requires you to purchase a 5x8x2.5 mm bearing for about 5-7 bucks, also available on Amazon. I won’t get into how to modify the trigger here, but rest assured that if you can turn a screwdriver, you can do this mod. There are videos on YouTube readily available.
The second thing I did was to get rid of the 4 power scope. I have the same scope on a Ruger .177 springer and it’s accurate to a degree but being a 4 power and having a fixed magnification, it really limited my accuracy at longer distance shots. So, knowing what to expect from the provided scope, I went ahead and replaced it with a Leapers UTG 3-9×40 scope for around 100 bucks, also bought on Amazon. The results are night and day. This scope also has a parallax adjustment from 5 yds out to infinity. But that’s a another review for another day.
Third, not all pellets are created equal! I had to go through about 8 different kinds to find a pellet that my rifle “likes”. I stared out with the Crosman 14.3 grain Hollow Point Premier. Those were good, but beyond 20-25 yds, I would start to get outliers and my target started to look like it had been hit by a shotgun blast. I tried other Benjamin, which is essentially Crosman, pellets but with even worse results. I finally settled on Beeman and H&N pellets. Beeman are made by H&N by the way. The ones that are really super accurate out of my Varmint are the Beeman Crow Magnum in 18.21 grains and the H&N Barracuda Hunter Extreme in 19.09 grains. I don’t know what FPS I’m shooting because I don’t own a chronograph.
I can tell you that in my case, this gun coupled with the UTG scope and using those two pellets, it is absolutely deadly on pests (squirrels in my case). I have killed over 80 squirrels (yes, we are infested) since May 2016. My normal range is about 20-25 yds, with the furthest so far being close to 50. The pellets that I mentioned do drop about 4 inches maybe at that distance. You just have to aim over their heads. You probably don’t want to shoot too light of a pellet as you will lose accuracy over a longer distance. So keep your distances respectable, this isn’t a high powered deer rifle after all.
Also, people complaining about a lower FPS than advertised: if using a light pellet, those FPS numbers are achievable but at a loss to accuracy and your gun will have a “report”, similar to a .22 firearm. Heavier pellets will be more accurate and 700-800 FPS is MORE than enough speed to kill most small animals. Remember, speed is one thing, but you need some knock down power (heavier pellet) behind that.
To sum up, if you want to kill pests quickly and effectively, and do it in relative silence, get yourself the Benjamin Varmint rifle. It works great for my needs and it will work for yours without breaking the bank.

This rifle is cool very cool looking but thats about as far as i go it completly destroid itself by the third shot scope and all i think some was done in shipping but can tell its just way to strong for the stocks frame and the mounts for the scope one ot the bolts bent an broke right off and i didnt even have it mounted to a holder. Its obviously louder than advertised. I wanted so bad to love this gun but could not believe what happened to this thing between shipping and the 3 pellets i was able to fire. One more or the plus it has its easy to cock besides it lookin awesome in my opinion not worth what i paid unfortunately not at all i think this whole line will have simular issues maybe not in 3 shots but by the time most are broke in youll notice places that will fail shortly after this. Sorry.
