I’ve been rebuilding a few bikes the summer, and some of them don’t always need new shifters or brake handles, but do have damage to the cables. This kit was a money saver by being able to replace the damaged cables and keep the stock shifters/brake handles. Not too bad. It’s nice when products work like you want them to. The wire cutters themselves are almost worth the price of the kit.

The cables, housings, etc. are doing great after I did a quick overhaul of a used bicycle. It fit my budget and was pretty straightforward.
The cable cutters seems to have dulled a little after several uses but still a lot better than the crappy tools I have at home. It still did the job and helped make the project easy.

I bought this as a repair kit for a outboard motor that was sent to me with a broken throttle cable among other issues, but that’s another conversation lol but anyway, these cables seem of very good quality that would work great for bikes as well as they are intended for..

Would have been nice to have some instructions, but once I read the items description and what comes in the package it was pretty easy, did all 4 cables on my Specialized mountain bike, which I raised the handle bars about 3″

weideer 87 Pcs Stainless Steel Wire Cutter Bike Brake Cable Housing Shifter Cable Housing Universa. The wire cutter proved its use in cutting the wire cleanly, better than a tradtional wire cutter. The cables seemed to be pre lubricated. Good quality.
