  1. Pragmatic Idealist

I have about two dozen Bosphorus cymbals. They are all very good to wonderful. This one is wonderful and very versatile. I’ve seen weights from 1646 to 1770 grams in videos of this model, from the top end of “thin” to medium thin. The one I received was 1706 grams. When looking for a crash ride, cymbals with a portion of the top unlathed have an advantage. Riding on the unlathed surface gives a tighter “pingier”, more penetrating sound while the crash also “cuts”. What’s special about this particular cymbal is very soft crashes sound just as lush as loud ones and the ride sound is also consistent from soft to loud. This is a one cymbal solution for acoustic, jazz, light rock.
