Nice budget unit. AppleCarplay works flawlessly so far. Good sound, easy install. As other have mentioned, no way to change button color, not a deal breaker. Camera resolution isn’t the best.

Radio operates well and as it should. Is advertised to have android auto but it only has Apple carplay. Also I can’t seem to find anywhere to adjust the color of the illumination. Box and owners manual doesn’t have any mention about multi color illumination or Android auto in this model. Wish I had of noticed before I installed in the car. Be too much work to remove the mic wires, backup camera wires and unhook the wiring harness. Camera works well but doesn’t seem to have amazing picture quality. Not bad but not great. All in all it’s a decent radio and works well. If you don’t need Android auto it’s a good radio for the price. Apple car play seems to work well so far with my work phone. Rating would be better but it doesn’t have the features advertised.

I installed this headunit a few weeks ago. For the price, it is about as you would expect. Better than the cheap chinese no name units but has flaws. Has pretty decent wattage output, drives my aftermarket speakers better than the OEM unit.
Biggest complaints:
1) CarPlay is VERY spotty. Thought it might be my car’s built in USB having connection issues — tried to plug it into the front and that port doesn’t work for CarPlay (???). I’ve resorted to using the built in bluetooth unless I need navigation then I will fight with it for 5 minutes, do a raindance, etc. Connects maybe 4/10 times.
2) The built in amplifier is decent but not great. I have noticed some distortion in higher frequencies. It’s annoying enough that I will probably add a 4 channel amplifier for the speakers instead.
3) Cannot change the illumination color
TL;DR Buy an ATOTO and 4 channel amplifier.

After only a few months the screen is going out. You can see in the picture the areas around the dark boxes look awful. Tried different phones and different map apps but they all look like this.

Got this to replace a stock radio in a 2012Chevy Impala, super easy install, to include the rear camera. Just follow the directions and do not over think it. If you need help look up some Youtube videos.

Have owned this for roughly 2 year + on 2005 Subaru Impreza 2.5 RS. Had to get replacement once due to multiple sudden shut down of apple car play. Still shuts down suddenly even after replacement. Unit is probably exposed to cabin heat, hence overheats and shuts down. Otherwise the apple car play function and mic are great.

I was wringing my hands for a while about which head unit to put in my van. The 23 year old factory unit was completely dead and I decided to upgrade to something with Apple Car Play. After looking at what seemed like hundreds of different options I settled on this one. It was relatively easy to install (with the correct installation kit) and it works exactly as I expected. The most important feature to me is that it is very intuitive to use. Everything I have tried to do with it has worked and I haven’t had to waste all kinds of time trying to figure out its various features. I highly recommend this unit. In fact, I’m about to order another one for my second car.

I previously had a generic Chinese CarPlay head unit and it quite literally blew up my wire harness after working fine for a week. Because of this, I will never buy one of the knock off ones again, especially considering how cheap and good this unit is. It sounds great, it’s simple, and it does what it’s supposed to do – function properly with Apple CarPlay. That’s all I want my head unit to do.
One gripe that I have is that the external microphone might not work. I have yet to call Boss to troubleshoot this, but it does not seem to be working. [UPDATE] I got this mic working. I think it was just user error.

Easy install. Also purchased Metra dash kit and wiring harness. Works well for my needs. I bought it for CarPlay, works great. Not the greatest screen resolution, but I’m happy with my purchase.

Installed this in my dads Silverado. Install was easy. Once installed, the unit works and sounds great. Touch screen is responsive and bright, it has an actual volume knob. Included backup camera works very well, triggers when in reverse or when I activate it via the touch screen. Has connections for a front camera if needed.
A few notes. The Rear USB port is what your phone needs to be plugged into for carplay. I purchased a USB extension cable and mounted a port in the dash. The cable for the backup camera is not long enough for an extended cab pickup, I purchased a backup camera extension cable, and additional power wire to hook it all up.
Unit has been up and running for over a month at this point, zero issues.
